I believe sacks take away from team passing yards, but not individual passing yards.

These are the stats that kinda makes you think that Romo deserves his job back. We are going to need more in the passing dept against the elite teams of the league. However, no INT's and a great QBR, and Dak has done incredibly well.

I'm torn on the issue.

I believe you are correct.

Not surprised with the passing yards allowed by this defense. Due to the nature of the tampa 2 and the fact the team has a "snowballs chance in hell" pass rush, and throw in playing with leads you will give up pass yards.

It does make you wonder what kind of Passing numbers Romo could put up with that kind of running game.

However to be fair to Dak...I think if ROMO was in the game they would tend to go away from the running games when they got behind or were stalling a tad. Something they have done over the years.

Also to be fair to Dak...Teams are loading up the box to stop the run and try to make him beat them...and he is doing enough good things and not enough bad things, to make it happen.

I'll say this. There are some pretty sick performances coming from the QB spot thus far this year when Prescott's nearly 99 QB rating ranks him middle of the pack thus far this year.

Any time you see my Random stats posts (depending if I feel like posting it each week or get lazy and stop)...it is a given that they could change following a monday night game or bye week depending on if the Cowboys play monday night or have a bye week.

I guess I could right that in every thread before making it but frankly I am too lazy and forgetful and just take it as a given.

I think we are mirroring our 2014 season, Romo's best. He was absolutely unstoppable on 3rd down that year, and when teams tried to take away Murray, he beat them overtop with Dez. So I'm hoping we would stick with our run first approach. I think we would face loaded boxes no matter who we're playing. You have to. Otherwise it's guaranteed 5 yards on first down almost haha. But yeah, Dak has played so well given his circumstances, and his ability as a mobile threat changes how defenses approach our offense. Such a good problem to have haha

#1 in Rushing TDs. That stat is nice. I like it when the team can run the ball in for a score. Good things come to teams that can rush for TDs. Not so much for teams that have to pass to score.

Yep, I was tempted to double-check that when I read it, too. Pretty impressive early start to the season for a lot of QBs in a lot of different cities.

Excellent observation. If Linehan can keep the same mindset with Romo as he has with Dak, it'll be pitch and catch on the outside. Go back and watch some of those 2014, it was as easy as it gets in the NFL.

It's a breath of fresh air seeing us score so many goal line rushing TDs. Seems like we couldn't buy a short yardage gain last year. Also Zeke is a first down machine. I say the #4 overall pick is justified.

That Philly game where they loaded 8 in the box, Dez had 3TDs that game. Pick your poison. And now with Bease coming into his own, it could be game over for defenses is Romo comes back with his groove.
