10 Million for T.O.... How about 8 million next year?

T.O is due a 3 million dollar roster bonus in March 2007 with a base salary of 8 million...

He was given that ten million dollar salary this year I believe to show him some of that "upfront money" that he was asking for in Philadelphia to keep him focused on football and not his finances..

So the question is... Compared to other receivers in the league and based on his and their statistics.. "Is T.O. worth 8 million dollars next year???

The stats support my argument from the recent weeks. During the years in which he lit the league on fire his YAC was well above 500 yards in a full season. This year, due to the lack of our offensive brain trust to put the guy in position to make plays, his YAC is 351 yards...

Please remember what was tossed back and forth before just making blanket statements like that. I find it amazing that the finally found success when they started throwing him quick slants and short crosses.

Also observe the last stat. "times targeted"

It appears they're not throwing him the ball any more often than he was getting it thrown to him in San Fran during those years. If they would have been hitting the slants and crosses earlier this year his YAC would have been in line with those previous years. Sorry.. I couldn't find "drops" but I am sure someone will factor those into this conversation.

Im no Me-Owens Hack, but I am pretty sure we were nose-diving in December before he ever arrived.

Terrell Owens is certainly not our major problem.

The thing is, if Parcells leaves, will the next guy be able to handle Terrell Owens?

Personally, I dont think Owens bothers Parcells one bit. What bothers Parcells is whether he wins or loses.

I'm not a T.O. appologist by any stretch of the imagination, but what has he done to HURT the team? I know some of you guys just HATE him, but he hasn't caused any problems IMO, he went out and played ball (hurt even). Yes, he lets his inner monologue get out sometimes, but I think you guys use him as a scape goat just because he is who he is.
