News: 10 Observations from Wednesday's OTA Practice

I like what Flournoy brings to the table. He is a physical WR with great hands. Flournoy is a guy you can throw those jump balls to down the sideline, and he’ll go up, out-physical his man, and come down with the ball. He’s going to be interesting to watch in camp. The only thing not to like about him as a prospect is that he’ll be 25 in October.

Plus, his measurables are elite -

"We don't need them practicing with the team!" ........

We don't. Not now.

can he run routes? can he catch? can he get separation?

we want WRs, not Olympic athletes.

projected to have double digit wins
Who projected that?

I have them going 11-6. Getting 6 easy games every year, makes double digit wins easy. They literally only have to win 4 games outside the division.

Remember the famed "Here We Go" cadence that Dak Prescott brought to the offense last year? Well, it was loud and proud once again at practice as he looks to take the confidence he built in 2023 in Mike McCarthy's first year as playcaller into 2024. Despite a lot of noise around Prescott this offseason, he was the same calm and collected presence in commanding practice on Wednesday. - Harris (link)

I would have thought serious consideration would have been given towards permanently retiring that phrase.

  • As Lance continues to grow more comfortable, he has found a pair of receiving weapons that have proved to be consistent for him: rookie Ryan Flournoy and Jalen CCropper.
It's nice to see Flouride and Crapper making strides so early

  • Looking at some of the defensive rookies, Marshawn Kneeland won several reps against the Cowboys' starting offensive line while Marist Liufau spent most of his practice time rotating between the first and second team; as cornerback Caelen Carson was assigned to the boundary for all of his reps (and not the nickel). - Walker
Well, that starting line right now includes Edoga at LT. If Kneeland can't regularly beat Edoga, I would be more concerned.

The last observation about Mazi is concerning. If he's going to be our NT, it's not good that he's looking slimmer than a year ago and about the same size as he was at the end of the season.

Their depth is better now than it has been in the oline.
What about the DLine? Stopping the run was awful and it got worse.

Also depth doesn’t matter in regards to LT. Tyron played 16 games last year so depth wasn’t required there. Guyton isn’t matching his production year 1. They’re hopefully a push or slightly better at center.

Bro, he thinks Guyton is gonna match Tyron's season
