10 Quick Hits Postgame

Ap is still a good back.
Lee had a quality tackle on AP that prevented a big gain and possible TD.

Fitzpatrick wants to be a FS. So unless we are benching woods were not dealing for him.

-The sack by Kerrigan? That happened because Dak got flushed out of pocket. Why was he flushed? Payne killed Connor off the snap.

-The interception Dak had? Collins was involved there as well. Payne beat him off snap and had hit on Dak right before the pass

-And 10 yard holding play

After the first quarter they started double-teaming Payne quite a bit. Wasn't a good game for Connor. I'd very much like to say otherwise.
Spot on.

Payne is an up and coming stud for Washington, I guess wash should have had him go at Zach all day. Connor did pretty good against a very good DL. He is much improved on last year. Some people think that if the other guy did well then Dallas guy is horrible. Dallas DL did not do much but Wash OL is under rated and their OL coach is very good.

I won't dispute much of this. But I'll reiterate: against the guy he had across from him today (Payne)...it wasn't a strong performance. At all.

There will be other good -- even better DTs -- on the schedule.

Payne is closer to Fletcher Cox than he is to Tyrone Crawford

Sean Lee is MIA but so are a lot of talented players under the guidance of Roddle.

Give them mid season. With the D it always been either they come out the gate on fire or catch fire mid season.

-D-Law was all over Keenum on the would-be-interception that X dropped. And Tank had another pressure/hit in the game. He'll get back to full form soon.

To add- he was instrumental in Crawford's sack, too.

#17 for the Skins was amazing. Dude is a player

Stats indicate Cowboys defense was very good.

A couple of negative plays don't make Connor Williams an "ain't good" player...

I was going to post, Williams has a few bad plays, and the trash party crowd has to start in on him.
Other players have a few bad plays too, but they are ragged on.
It is the popular thing to do to rag on certain players. It feels like high school sometimes.

Yup. He's the guy I flagged as a DOUBLE ALERT last Monday. McLaurin is going to be the Skins equivalent of Gallup. Both 3rd round picks that are serious ballers.

Yeah, as much as I think Lee isn't Lee of a few years back I think there's something wrong with scheme. Or guys up front are missing assignments.
lockster--yeah man..something is wrong with scheme or something because we often get gashed in passing game..hope they can fix it before week 4

Kris Richard is a premium top-class DB coach. That doesn't mean he's cut out to be a defensive coordinator, which currently is (beyond the window dressing) his task.

T-RO---hope Marinelli steps in or hope they do something quick..i am getting worried

Go watch the rams game last post season. You know, one of the games that really counted.

That statement just proves you are arguing for the sake of arguing. All the games prior to the Rams game counted. If they didn't, the Cowboys would have never been in the Rams game. Using one game to promote your agenda probably isn't a good idea. That would be like me using the first Washington game last year to say Zeke sucked, since he had 15 attempts for 33 yards and a 2.2 yards per attempt average. It really doesn't give the whole picture.

Frankly, I don't think there is salvation in either Coach Rod or Coach Kris. Hopefully together they can make it work. We don't need a top five defense for a Super Bowl run. But we will need more than we've seen so far. My hunch is that Coach M. understands the big picture a bit more than Richard. But I totally concede I could be wrong.

Damn...they could be sandbagging, waiting to unveil the goods until they play someone good. (LOL...my wishful thinking)

Beyond this year I hope they import a DC... someone that is young, innovative, hard and edgy. That guy isn't in Frisco at this time, IMO.
