The score doesn't mean anything to me tommorow night. Here is a list of 10 things I want to see.

1. Demarcus Ware putting consistent pressure on the quarterback, maybe even getting his first sack.

2. Another solid outing by Chris Canty.

3. A solid outing by the secondary, specifically Newman, Davis and Beriault. I know Beriault is coming off an injury but it's time to step up. Keith Davis needs to ease my mind at FS. Newman needs to show me he is a top tier corner, and that last season's 'slump' was more a product of what was around him rather than him taking a step back. I also want to see Roy playing BIG in the box and being disruptive at the LOS.

4. Julius Jones continuing to run the ball well and :gasp: hauling in some receptions. I believe JJ can really rack up the YAC and make things happen ala Tomlinson and Westbrook.

5. Tyson Thompson and Marion Barber need to show they are capable of playing at this level. Barber has "hit a wall" as Parcells decribes it, and while Thompson was impressive last week he still has a long way to go. I need to see that both of them are capable of blocking and catching the ball out of the backfield. I also would like to see Thompson running the ball up the middle and getting the tough yards. Parcells won't keep a back if he cant do it all (see Reshard Lee.)

6. Drew Bledsoe showing presence in the pocket. I don't want to see him holding on to the ball waiting for someone to get open. If there is nothing there, throw it away. I would much rather the incomplete pass than an interception, sack or fumble. STOP TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING.

7. Drew Henson, physically you are everything that us fans want in a quarterback. You have a rifle for an arm, you can move around in the pocket and your body type is perfect for the quarterback position. Now show me you can run this offense. Let me see you READ the defense, avoid the SACK, make GOOD decisions, not FORCE throws and most of all be the field general this team needs. I'm sick of having a quarterback drive the bus, I want one who can make things happen, I believe you can. SHOW ME YOU ARE THE QB OF THE FUTURE!

8. Tony Romo, you have been impressive so far. I want you to show your arm strength and thread the needle. Shut these guys up on the message board who think you have a noodle for an arm and can only find Witten.

9. Patrick Crayton, show me how good those hands are and show me you can make things happen. I don't need to see blazing speed, I want to see crisp route running and a solid reciever who can consistently catch the ball, something Morgan cannot do.

And last but not least,

10. Rob Pettiti, please step up. I know you are capable of holding down the fort at RT, show me you can do it. Tommorow is your chance to make an impression, the playing time is yours. Show me you are the player I think you are and show Parcells he doesn't need to sign a FA. I don't expect miracles, just solid play.

Please feel free to add on to the list starting at # 11. Lets dig this thread up after the game to see how things turned out.

1. I pretty sure your weren't ranking these by priority but seeing Pettiti play well would be at the top of my list. Also, no idiotic o-line penalties.
2. Good point on wanting to see JJ be productive in catching the ball, BP seems almost fanatical in his dedication to the screen pass even though I havent seen a decent screen pass since Landry, Danny White and Tony D.
3. QB issue is what everyone will be watching for.
4. Love to see Ware rush the QB but I'd be satisfied with another strong outing from our run defense, that will be the number one goal come week one against SD, especially with Gates sitting out.
5. With Cundiff out, gotta hope to see a solid effort in the kicking game.

Good list.

I guess if I had one thing to add, it would be that I want to see all our guys come out of this game healthy.

true that jack. I dont wanna add anything else, 10 burning questions is enough for Jim Rome to do a half hour crap talk show, and it's enough to keep me up at night. but that has nothing to do with the Cowboys, well a little bit..I got more, uh, pressing issues at this point :)

Funny, even though that was a shot at me and the "coven," I want that too.

Oh, and Happy Birthday.

#16. Barber & Thompson show they can earn the trust of BP in blitz pickups, so they can play a little more when needed to give JJ a rest. So JJ can be rested in the 4th to pound it down their throats, ala #22, remember him?

I would like to see Crowder solidify his roster spot. One more amazing play and I think Parcells is going to have to keep this go on

I do not think it matters what Cortez does, he will not be on this team.

That is my opinion anyway, and I am sticking to it. I could care less what he does the next 3 pre-season games, he sucks! No way we keep this guy based on his past. He actually may have been the worst FG kicker I ever saw while in San Fran.

He was just brought in so Billy would not wear his leg out.

Umm, Billy is out 3-4 weeks with a hip flexor and speculation is that he will be released.

Yep, I know.

That in no way means Cortez will be on this team.

I will be shocked if he is our FG kicker game 1, and really I do not think Parcells has any thought he will be.

Cortez is everything BP hates in a kicker.

I would add to this one that he shows improvement in his run/pass recognition and coverage skills. A big issue is his ability to transition from pass rusher to outside linebacker.

It will be interesting to see if Parcells shows anything on D to the Seahags...

We play them later in the reg season and I don't think he wants to show too much...

That being said, I think he was miffed at The Grumpy Walruss after last years game, so maybe he gives it to him some?

I do want to see Rob show well at RT, it might be the biggest area of concern...

I am not sure how the 2ndary will look if we don't blitz the Seahags?
