I get what you are saying but if those teams didn't have Romo they would have had a lot 3 or 4 win seasons. Unfortunately Romo figured it out in 2014 which to me was his best season. Not statistically his best he just limited his turnovers and made better decisions with the ball. Of course that was his last season due to injuries.
If does not change anything.

I am not saying Romo is a piece of crap. I'm saying he had a history of the biggest games thinking he could squeeze a ball in that went the other way.

Don't be so hard on yourself.

I'm not a hater, thank you. Just illuminating what happened. The game winning score came off a pick by Romo.

actually you are on record as pretty much saying that in the past.

Haha perfect timing for after my post. No bubs...giving up 51 points was the game. There has and never will be a QB in NFL history that throws 5 Tds for 500 yards at a 70 % completion rate that LOSES a football game. If that QB loses a game it's completely on the entire rest of the team. Be like an NBA player scoring 80 points on a 70 FG % while the rest of the team shoots 5 % and blaming the guy who scored 80 because he missed one basket in the 2nd quarter.
Romo didn’t lose that game by himself. As much as fans want to ascribe wins and losses to a QB, it’s a team game and any win or loss is a team win or loss.

However, the QB is arguably the most important member of the team and it’s not unreasonable to assign the greatest blame.

You are making excuses for Romo. The interception is what cost the game. Up to that point one might argue defense. But when it left his hand and ended up in the defenders hand, which ultimately resulted in a win for the Broncos. Even the play by play in the box score shows this is the sequence. Not one blamed.....but, but, but, the defense.

I agree. Team loss. But the sequence of events tell a story. One, it seems people don't like so they shift the blame.

Post something where I said that. I have been clear from the day he took over for Bledsoe. I liked Romo. I just did not like his decision making in the critical parts of games.
Look at Dez caught it. Dallas didn't need to throw the ball long then. Still plenty of clock left to run out so Rodgers didn't get it back. But Romo made a hero call. Those are the moments when he gambles. Just like Favre.

So I will wait so you can go back through the records and find a post where I said I didn't like Romo.

Claiming, "Pretty much," is an equivocation on your part. Either I did or I did not. Pretty much is the same argument you are making about Romo's pick. It was pretty much the defense.

But it wasn't.

It's ironic because if anyone is shifting the blame it's you. It's very clear you've never played the sport.

I always love posters like you who assume something about someone else with nothing to go on but the written word.

There is still a cult of Romo on this board that, just like Swifties, will close ranks and attack anyone who dares to say anything which doesn't fit the idea that if Romo just had a defense we would have won X amount of Super Bowls.

I hope you don't dox me.

Tony threw that pick at the worst time in the worst place on the field. That’s what people will remember. It’s just like a kicker that hits 3 FGs during the game, but misses the last kick at the end to tie or win.
