Trade down to 7 and select Zeke and then trade up from 34 with capital from R1 pick and select Rankins. Zeke and Rankins tonight.

Love of GOD would that be sublime. Which means it probably won't happen, but we can dream.

Depends on if you trade down past 8

If they want Zeke they better take him
If you trade down you better have multiple guys you want or someone could jump in front of you. Not a fan of a RB at 4 but if Zeke is the guy they want your best move is just draft him. If you have two or three guys you like equally then trading down is the right move

I disagree with trading down. You do it if someone blows you away with an offer, or if your player isn't there. If your guy is there, you take him.

This bit us hard about six or seven years ago. We got cute while trying to draft Max Unger. We traded down, and missed him.....we wound up with the worst draft we have ever had.

Agreed. We've got the fourth pick for a reason. We deserve to draft the best guy available. I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity and if you have a guy you believe in, take him and forget all the tantalizing 'value' you could get

Yeah, but that was Jerry or whomever being idiotically stupid. The point is to stock up on premium picks, not mid-rounders.

But that high in the draft, a team covet a particular player

Not if they haven't spent much time on him. Is it possible that since everyone thought he'd go 1, that they spent so much time with Conklin and Stanley, that they actually developed a preference for them?
