Possible but it would not surprise me after the 2nd preseason game. After week 1?
Signing him makes a ton of sense..........hell, he's probably good for at least 8-10 sacksI hope so. He would be a great addition and it fits the rumor that the player’s going to be top player but not a starter. Just great depth.
Is it possible that there's a handshake agreement with Jerry?Von Miller has talked so much about it happening on social media that I have already started believing it will not happen.
I thought the rumor was that they were trying to trade for a player, but not a starter. He'd be a free agent signing.I hope so. He would be a great addition and it fits the rumor that the player’s going to be top player but not a starter. Just great depth.
He had nine last year, so it's possible. I don't know if it helps or hurts for him to sign later. Last year, he signed July 21.Signing him makes a ton of sense..........hell, he's probably good for at least 8-10 sacks
To be honest, Stephen Jones mentioned veteran free-agent players .........I thought the rumor was that they were trying to trade for a player, but not a starter. He'd be a free agent signing.
I mean, I'd be good with it. The more competition, the better, especially at a position where we have hardly any proven players.
Post of the weekend!!Von Miller has talked so much about it happening on social media that I have already started believing it will not happen.
He did, but the specific rumor saying they weren't looking at a starter concerned a trade. I believe it was Nick Harris who tweeted: Cowboys targeting non starter player in trade. To be honest, Stephen Jones mentioned veteran free-agent players .........
Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed that the team remains active and intends to tinker with the roster before Week 1 of the 2026 season. He noted that Dallas is engaged in ongoing trade discussions and evaluating veteran free agents, stating that if he were a betting man, the roster would look different in the coming weeks
I'm not sure it matters that much... one of the reasons the team signs some after-vet players AFTER THE 1st game is to avoid locking their salary for the year if they are on the roster at the beginning of the season. In other words, if you're signing a vet free agent as a replacement for a starter or high-depth player who will miss a chunk of games, then yes, you wait until after the 1st game. I don't think that will be the case if we sign Vonn Miller..........we expect him to be part of the roster the entire year.I don't know if it helps or hurts for him to sign later
