12-4 with Romo?

Yeah, because Romo was perfectly healthy for that game. Oh, and Carolina isn't the best team in the league -- heck, they're only third best in the conference behind Seattle and Arizona.

What ever you have to tell yourself.

That all said, since we are speculating, I speculate that Romo will not play another full season between now and when that social security check starts rolling in. He will give a valiant effort as usual but his body will remind him of how beat down it actually is every season.

He averages 3 missed games a season throughout his career and the number has been highest in most recent years. The fact that people think we don't need to get the best QB in the draft is crazy.

With the NFCE being as bad as they were, I could easily see 12-4. Although I dont think we beat the top 5-6 teams in the league, even with a 12-4 record.

Carolina. Seattle. AZ, Pats, Steelers, Broncos, Bengals, Cheifs, heck even the PAckers, Vikings and Texans would be difficult to beat. And thats WITH Romo.

last year was a fluke,,,,, a lucky break,

We may get those lucky breaks next year,,,,, maybe.

I don't see 12-4... not even remotely close. I thought Romo looked horrible in all of our wins. Keep in mind the wins came against REALLY bad teams as well. You are correct about last year being a fluke season though. The team had a ton of chemistry and an almost unstoppable run game.

Romo looked horrible in the first win against the Giants? I beg to differ. He won that game at the end.

No doubt.

lol, And the legend of Romo grows yet ever stronger with BS threads like this boasting "what if" scenarios and worship at the Altar of TR.

Even after this season, we still have people who don't understand how valuable Romo is.

8-8 or 9-7 at best? Get outta here.

Well, I've noticed that some of the 8-8 predictors also have made it known in the past that they don't think much of Romo. Not all of them, mind you, but definitely a few.

If Dallas going 1-11 without Romo and 3-1 with him isn't enough to convince you of what Romo means for this team, I don't think anything will.

This team had 8-8 seasons when it had no defense and no running game.

We're 1-11 without Romo. This team without Romo is just as bad, if not worse, than previous teams. If Romo could do no better than 8-8 with those teams, what makes you think he could with this one?

No!

8-8, maybe 9-7. Tony didn't look right before the injury or in Carolina. We had alot of more issues than injuries. I think DeMarco hurt us the most. Our gameplan was based on him and the defense got the benefit of that ball control. We relied on a a guy who couldn't be depended on..mentally...from Day 1 and then turned it over to a guy who did better than expected but wasn't game planned around. Romo still would have had to throw more that he should and with that will come mistakes. I also don't buy the "we were close in so many games without him, so we would have won them." We will never know how those teams would game plan with him starting or if Tony was Carolina/Giants Tony. It's a guessing game. I think overall there was too much over confidence from one good year and many players have hinted at the team not having "it."

No way we were 3-1 with him we win a minimum of 7 more . TB / NO / philly / NYG / Wash / GB/ sea / nYj maybe buffalo .

Completely wrong! I've been one of his biggest supporters on this board. Have been for years! Guy has been incredible at times. But many of you arent thinking straight. Romo was 8-8 for 3 yrs with less injured and better all around teams. He hit 12-4 with an optimal year of no injuries and an 1800 yard rusher. We had not even close to the same efficiency this year. You have to remember the Giants blew game 1. Romo played horribly for most of it. He wasn't great in Gsme 2, the Dolphin game or Carolina either. The line was playing worse, we had a collection of parts at RB and WR and we were playing much sloppier, even in his 4 starts. So with all that why is it so wrong to guess 8-8 or 9-7 when we were 8-8 the other years with him throwing for a ton of yards? It's logical. Even guys line Sturm, who study the film have said the same. Not the same team this year.

See above. You are looking at 3-1 and playing plug and play like its 2014

My thought is if you guys had Romo the game this past Sunday would have been for the division, both teams coming in at 8-7
