Long as the WR has speed & quickness it work.
Tony Pollard & Turpin are best suited for that while CD & Gallup will be used to change tempo.
I have a slightly different plan in mind. I'd probably use Pollard as a Sproles-type back. What I mean by that is he'd be used more for screen and short patterns to take advantage of his speed. For example, when we line up in shotgun, I'd have both Zeke and Pollard in the backfield. Zeke would block, as that's what he does best, and Pollard go out for a pass. I would also motion Pollard out at times to both gauge if the defence is running man or zone, and, when we use him as a proper WR to your point, it'd help him to find the best matchup for him.
Turpin, I agree is someone we will need for his speed. I'd be careful though not to overuse him. We need him more in the return game. However, in spots, I'd use him as the slot WR. CD, Gallup (when he returns), and Fehoko would be my outside WRs.
