Ironically they've only won time of possession once this season. I think against the Giants.. Weird isn't it?
A few things to work on. With our Defense we should be getting more drives than the other team. Maybe we aren’t sustaining drives.

Dude get some help for your Zeke obsession.. It's beyond tiresome at this point..

Nothing is more tiresome than the continued failures of zeke only to come on here the next day with you touting him as some kind of conquering hero. Zeke sucked YET AGAIN!!!!

3.5 ypc is JAG type stuff buddy. At least wait until he has a good game to prop him up. Have some decency. It was Pollard AGAIN that helped bring home the win by creating a big play breaking tackles and taking it to the house.

Completely false. He was atrocious week 1, and he was atrocious on Sunday. He has been so bad that in pass protection that he barely gets snaps that way. I mean just look at the Ramsey sack and tell me Pollard is just fine in pass pro.

The guy can be absolutely electric with the football in his hands, but if you can't block you become a liability. He has so much to offer this team, and honestly has the pure running ability to take over the bulk of carries from Zeke, but if you are going to get your QB killed in the process it wont do you much good.

I actually rewatched the game and Pollard was great in pass protection save for one play where he failed to see a blitzing corner.

Do you realize that when you run the football, that a run play and not a pass play? So there is no correlation.

Your hero is averaging less than 4 ypc so far this year. And once again Pollard is well over 5 ypc. Its a blood bath at this point.

I'm not even sure what you're even talking about at this point. My team has won 4 games in a row.. One of them with YOUR hero averaging 27 inches a carry and losing yards on 5 of 8 carries... But as long as we get one big play every other game it's okay if he gets both QBs killed and we have to finish out the season with Will Grier at QB.. He needs to play no matter what because YOU hate Zeke.. You should communicate your disdain for Zeke to the coaching staff.. I'm sure they will adjust their RB rotation to suit your whims.

Losing time of possession because we are really poor on third down. We only convert them at a rate better than like 3 teams. Therefore we’re at the bottom of the league in plays per game.

I agree but MM did admit we are now a defense-first team. You are right though, lets's see if it changes when Dak returns
Exactly. I am not a Jerry fan at all, but I would think he isn’t stupid enough to overrule the staff on what’s working.

This may just be the avenue by which Jerry doesn’t push Moore as to what he would “like to see more of.”

Yep that healthy 3 ypc average is incredible!! :lmao2::lmao2:
Yep, he rarely loses yards. He's great when a team wants to chew up clock and give the defense a rest. The only thing we're really missing is that third down specialist. A Cole Beasley type. Zeke would get us 7 yards on two carries then Beas would get us the first on third and short.

I miss those days. 12 play drives for a TD.

That 3.8 ypc, while not ideal, is allowing for Pollard's 5.6 ypc.

Real football people know and understand this. Most of the Cowboys insiders are lauding the game Zeke played on Sunday and are acknowledging that his bludgeoning the defense paves the way for what Pollard does. Meanwhile pissants on the internet are mad .. Go figure. Christy Scales said something on one of the podcasts yesterday that really resonated. She mentioned how much the coaching staff et al take note of Zeke's unselfishness and his willingness to adapt his role for the good of the team. They appreciate that a guy who has been a bona fide superstar in this league accepts the change to being the guy asked to do the grunt work so someone else can get the glory and has done so quietly and is even Pollard's biggest cheerleader. Why some fans are unable to appreciate that will always be a mystery to me. But I have long since stopped caring about them.

The charting I've seen today says he only had 4 snaps in protection. So even if he was flawless in those other three snaps you can't miss your assignment 25% of the time and expect to see the field. Grated it's a very small sample size he was horrible in his 11 snaps week 1 in protection and has barely played in the three games in between....3 snaps in total if my memory serves me right. It's clear that the coaches don't trust him in protection and aren't playing him in protection. I'm not sure that it is even up for debate at this point that he needs to get better in that area. If he does we probably see a more 50/50 split with him and Zeke which would be a win for everyone.

It's going to stay a small sample size as long as he keeps whiffing on blocks. Regardless of how many keyboard warriors advocate for him to play more snaps those snaps have to be earned and one big run every 15-20 touches simply is not enough to offset the extent to which he's a liability in pass protection. Those calling for him to be used as an outlet rather than asking him to block as a solution ignore the fact that just because the QB can dump the ball off to him as the third or fourth read that doesn't stop the untouched defender from breaking the QB in half. The whole "use him as a receiver" solution only works if Pollard is one of the primary receivers. Which he aint gonne be more than 2-3 times a game.

Of course they did. They had the lead and couldn't pass block Donald.

I guess I was just blown away that Moore seems FINALLY to have figured out how to call the appropriate plays for the situation at hand.. Excepting of course that one trip to the red zone that featured 1 run and 2 incomplete passes and ended in a FG. Both of those should have been touchdowns with as well as we were running the ball. How different does that game look if we're up 13-0 after the punt block as opposed to 9-0. Could have had the Rams in desperation mode very early on.

I see MM with the play chart in his hands and I think I see him talking to someone on the headset.
Shannon Sharpe swears it's a cheesecake factory menu and he's ordering his after game dinner lol. I think he's probably getting info from other coaches and/or discussing situational stuff. Not calling plays though.
