No way...can't happen...can it?

Past history in the NFL, and certainly past history for the Dallas Cowboys, says they'll lose 1-2 games that they shouldn't lose. Someone will play over their heads...Dallas will come out flat...that's a loss.

However, looking at the schedule, I have no doubt that Dallas will be the favorite in every single one of their remaining games, barring injuries.

Would it surprise any of us to see the Boys sweep the division? Not me.

We have Green Bay in our own house, and we can get after the QB who has no running game.

We could finish anywhere between 15-1 and 12-4....it would take a total collapse or an injury to Romo for us to finish worse that 12-4.

It will be interesting, because on paper, there's no reason this team couldn't finish 15-1 if they take care of business and show up for each game ready to play.

Great post Wayne. I agree. This year's nucleus is special. The Pats had to pretty much play an A+ game to beat us. We all know the game was much close than indicated on the scoreboard. I'm looking forward to getting guys like Tank in the rotation, Henry back, Glenn in the mix, and possibly a subtle flip flop at the running back position to help alleviate the pain of these slow starts.

The road games in NY, Washington and Philly concern me. Certainly we can win 2 out of 3 of these.

We can finish with a great record if we take care of our business.

saying that the team will sweep the division is a bit of a reach. I'll be content with a 4-2 division record and more realistically, its probably gonna be 3-3. No matter what, NFC-East games are never gimmes.

We should only improve when we get Tank, Henry and TG back.

Only game I'm concerned about right now is Minn. I don't know what our end record will be and at this time that is not overly important. Improving as a team and hard work this team will be alright.

i'll be happy at 4-2 in the division. that assumes one road win (phi or wash).

we have a habit of choking in those games as of late and philly is TO's kryptonite.

12-4 would be miraculous... forget 15-1

Time to move on and focus on Minnesota. These guys are no slouches. Adrian Peterson is a beast. 230 yards rushing yesterday.

Take care of business and we're looking at 6-1 going into the bye ... tell me this in August and I'd have been hysterical. :)

I think 13-3 is maybe realistic, 12-4 very likely, but I said this last night when it was brought up.

This team has too many weaknesses to be a 15-1 team. We still struggle mentally with a lot of things and are incredibly inconsistent. While I think we will be as talented, if not more, than the rest of the teams on our schedule, there are going to be hiccups.

The Skins are going to be very, very tough in their house. The Giants probably will be, too. Green Bay will be as well if we don't play pass defense any better than we did today.

We're absolutely going to lose some games along the way, but that's fine as long as we can win our division and do some good in the playoffs.

15-1? Anything is possible but I'd be happy with 12-4. I would like see Cowboys win every game here on out but that is just a homer in me. Realistically, I could see us losing 2-3 more games by end of the season.

Remember, I never said we'd be 15-1, only that we will only lose by stumbling, not because we play better teams.

On paper, we will be favored in every single game the rest of the year...I have no doubt about that. Thus, 15-1 is possible because we'd have to lose to teams we should not lose to, which we usually do.

I don't see Philly or NY beating us....and Washington is encountering lots of OL problems.

None of those teams, nor GB, will be favored by the bookies.

I still think 12-4 or 11-5 is more realistic, they still have some tough road games ahead this year.

Bleu Star, now that is what I'm talking about. You posted one of the better posts I have seen in a long time. No where in your post did I read about something utterly impossible for this team to achieve, and no where did I notice any blatant homerism.

You stated facts. The Pats definitely played their best game of the season. And they needed to, to win. The score was not indicative of the game played.

Having Tank Johnson in the lineup should bolster the defensive rotation. Since losing Tank, the Bears defense has gone belly up this year. Now we have him.

Anthony Henry should return soon. At the latest, after the bye week. And hopefully the coaching staff will see that Marion Barber deserves to start at RB, week in and week out.

We lost yesterday, but we are not even at the halfway point of the season. This team has a lot of room to improve and a lot of fight left in them. The Cowboys will definitely get better, and learn a lot from this game.

you don't see it because your blue/silver goggles have gotten the best of you (and probably having the lead yesterday for a few seconds).

NY will throttle our secondary in the Meadowlands. Plax will have a 3TD day. In philly TO will drop probably a sure TD and several 1st down plays.

Our margin of error is slim against NFC East opponents and we are a mistake-prone team unfortunately.

Our last game is in Washington. We will probably lose that game since they will probably have more to play for by then. We will either be playing all backups or not play as hard as them because we will have had home field wrapped up by then.

one game i'm particularly worried about is the giants game because they will be coming off of a bye week.

I like our schedule though since our short weeks will be against the Jets in week 12, and carolina in week 16 (which gives us an extra day to prepare for washington the last game--if we need it for HFA throughout playoffs)

so we have an advantage playing philly away (coming off bye week), detroit (we played on thursday the week before), and like i said washington since we would have played on saturday the week before

but who knows who will be fiercely competitive in the coming weeks...needing the win to get into the play offs?

i think we have a good likelihood of going 13-3, both future losses coming from a division opponent (unfortunately or fortunately if we are 13-2 going into Was and guaranteed HFA).

I guess it could happen, but after the way we played vs Buffalo I think its unlikely...Buffalo is a very bad football team with extremely limited talent, and we barely won...Romo hopefully wont have another game like that, but it still shows that we can lose to anyone at anytime...there's no doubt in my mind that our 5 games vs the NFC East will all be dogfights, and its unlikely IMO we win them all...I'd be pretty happy with 4-2 in our division

I said 11-5 or 12-4 before the season, I'll stick with it...hopefully we stay healthy from here on out, we cant afford more injuries to key guys
