This team will go as far as our offense and our offense alone takes us. This is an offense-first team with a porous defense that will give up points. We need to score almost every drive to win games.

This is stupid. Top 5 scoring defense. Guess you are new to football. Hang out and learn some things kido. No more dumb posts please. Just be quiet and learn.

These 2022 Dallas Cowboys are special. So special at scoring points that their 199 points scored in the last 5 games has turned out to become the most points scored in a 5-game span in 1 season in team franchise history.

The previous record was 193 points scored in a 5-game span way back in 1968 under the great Coach Tom Landry and a team led by the great "Dandy" Don Meredith, Don Perkins, "Bullet" Bob Hayes, Rayfield Wright, Bob Lilly, Chuck Howley, Jethro Pugh, Cornell Green, Mel Renfro, etc.

Congratulations, 2022 Dallas Cowboys!

Excellent post, dude!

If you were to read the gametime thread, you'd would think this team is in last place.

So much ignorance lately. I don't understand. This is a great team we have right now.

You're not going to be perfect on every play. And every team is going to have some talent in the NFL.

You think my post has something to do with Dak? He never even crossed my mind. I'm just tired of seeing some arbitrary statistic pop up in every game - not just the Cowboys games - but every game. Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, but a there's more of them every week. It's like there are guys competing to come up with some obscure statistic, as if they get a bonus every time they do it. "Well, let's see, nothing here for the season. How about in 11 games?...Nope, how about 5 games?...EUREKA!!!!"

By the way, you can stop telling me what you "don't remember" me doing. If you do remember me doing something relevant to the conversation, by all means, let me know. But you have no way of knowing what I talked about when Romo was playing. If they displayed silly stats like this, I'm sure I would've said something.

Stop acting like I'm talking smack about Dak, because I'm not. He was shaky at times tonight, but other times he had some really nice throws, like the TD to Gallup in the corner of the end zone. Nice touch on that ball.
I do remember because I was there every day of every year on the old threads. This isn't about Dak or Romo. It's about them and their teams. Seriously, I never saw you complain 1 time during the many times them Romo-led teams were breaking franchise records like I've seen you complain several times recently during this Dak-led team.

Hey guys, I think a lot of us were concerned how close the game was after 3 quarters.
We seem to play down to the competition and it was appearing that was happening again.
Letting an inferior team hang around is not good.
See green bay game.

And there you go again. My comment has absolutely zero to do with Dak, the offense, or the team in any way. It's about the stupid, random statistics they post for every team in the league. "Oh, well Green Bay has never lost when Rodgers wore his brown shoes with white pants on the plane ride to the game." It's just annoying, because it has no importance whatsoever.

One of those silly stats that means nothing. Why stop at 5 games? Look, I'm all positive about winning and all that, but these random stats that people dig up are getting old. There's some new "statistic" uncovered in just about every game, when the only important ones are the ones that actually count toward something.

This stat is significant, though.

I really shouldn't have to explain why that is....

Have you heard all the criticism of Dak and the offense and the perpetual questions before he came back from his injury?

That's why this actually means something. It tells the story: the true story.

It tells a story of 5 games...one of which they lost. I'm glad they're scoring a lot of points, and I hope they keep it up. Dak's been playing very well, for the most part, but I'd rather they scored less points and won every game. But again, that has nothing to do with why I think stats like this are silly. They cherry pick things, like 5 games instead of say, 7, and post those stats like they're important to the big picture, which they're not.
