1992 all over again...

This game is most similar to another game from 92. We started the season 3 - 0 and we played the 3 - 0 Eagles. It was supposed to be a big test for our young team, and a precursor to the playoffs.

We got crushed 31 - 7. A lot of people wrote us off after that. Then we went on to win 5 in a row, while the Eagles lost 3 of their next 4 (one of them was against us). We won the division, hosted them in the playoffs and destroyed them 34 - 10.

For all the hype, that game proved very little about either team. Because in week 4 (or week 6 for that matter) there is still a ton of football to be played.

I DARE (alright, urge) everyone who is doing the chicken-little thing about the Monday night game to read the 1992 game-write-up you posted and then continue their sky-is-falling routine. It should give them some sense of NFL history and context that they do not yet have, apparently.

And it should be required reading if, by chance, Dallas should lose the New England game.
