When I watched how the Seahawks dominated the high powered Denver offense it took me back to how the 1992 Cowboys dominated the high powered Bills offense. Do you guys think that this Seahawks team resembled the 1992 Cowboys with their dominating performance in the Super Bowl?

the 92 cowboys would have beat the Hawks. That o line with hall of famer #22 in the backfield would have brought the hurt to SEA. They would be so tired at halftime the game would be over.

If you are talking just defense. yes they did resemble each other. If you are talking team vs team, 92 boys would have killed them.

The first drive of #22 left ... #22 right ... #22 up the middle.

Then on drive #2 .. the play action starts with Irvin pushing off and catching everything in sight. (Irvin did this to #PrimeTime ... in his prime. And R Sherman is not #Primetime)

You got a point it about that offense at the time being more explosive than the Seahawks offense the question is really related to the defensive side of the ball as to how both teams just dominated the other offense and how they compare defensively.

Yes they do resemble each other defensively being that the same scheme was used by both teams.

The defenses are comparable. Both are young, very fast and hungry. PLayed eith attitude. Similar schemes too.

Cowboys offense was better, especially the o-line. But if the Seahawks had Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin all year, I'm not so sure their offense wouldn't be as good. Slight edge to Cowboys offense, but only slightly.

Absolutely. Seattle's Cover 3 defense is very similar to the Dallas Cover 2 of the Jimmy Johnson era. Punch-Press outside, safety help over the top, relentless four-man pass rush with athletic linebackers. Lots of closing speed.

We can get there in Dallas. We have the guys on the back end, just have to fix the front. I am confident Jason and Co. will address the defensive front this off-season, whether in the draft or free agency.

I will say this, though - the only player I would pay for in free agency this year would be Jimmy Graham. The rest of the free agent pool is a bunch of nobodies.

Defense? Yes.

Offense? Not really.

The 92 Cowboys offensive line, or the offensive line of the 90s dynasty in general, were quite a bit better.

Yes the Cowboys offense was better and while the Seahawks offense would've been even better with both Harvin, and Rice in the lineup it would take both of them to make one Irvin, and neither guy compares to him in that regard. Lynch is a terrific RB but he is no Emmitt and as good as Wilson is he's no Troy so the Cowboys offense was up a notch to Seattle's as you mentioned.

Seattle's defense is being overrated if you ask me. Denver was playing like a bunch of chumps that were just glad to be in the superbowl.

I don't think those two teams look at all the same. That Defense in 92 was much smaller and faster. This Seattle Defense is much Bigger and more Physical IMO.

Night and Day IMO.
