wow wow wow
i just finished watching " Americas Game", the story of the 93 Cowboys, on the NFL Network.

its on right now again and will be on at 1 am (central time) if anybody wants
to set up their DVR.

just what i needed to get pumped up for the soon to come training camp.

The Boys were actually down 13-6 at the half, before winning the Super Bowl 30-13.
This was also the year Emmitt was a MAN among men against the Giants
with a separated shoulder, the infamous Leon Lett gaffe on Thanksgiving Day, Bernie Kosar subbing for Aikman who had suffered a concussion, and
Bill Bates playing in his first Super Bowl, after missing the previous one with
an injury. Way too many highlights to list them all, but wow I enjoyed that.

1993 was my favorite Dallas Cowboys super season, I know the '92 team was better by record, but that '93 team had to overcome so much more to win it all.:)

What many people do not realize, when it comes to the 1993 season is that, in the four losses, Emmitt Smith was a virtual non-factor in those games.

- The first two games Emmitt held out against Washington and Buffalo.
- Emmitt got injured during the opening series of the Atlanta loss.
- Emmitt was still nursing his injury the following Thursday in Dallas' loss to the Dolphins on Thanksgiving.

When Emmitt played the whole game, Dallas never lost.

Would've been cool to go 16-0 had he played played all the entire games.

Just goes to show how much Emmitt meant to the team. The game against the NYG was his best game ever IMO.

It was kind of awesome when Emmitt called it :hammer: saying he said he was going to beat the SI jinx...and did to win his 2nd ring. :clap2:

i happened to switch over to NFLN while they were showing the 94 Niners. Can't believe we lost to that group of pansies. We play that game 10 times and we would have won 9 of them. Of course they failed to show Deion's PI on Irvin that screwed us at the end.:bang2:

I've watched it 3 times in the last 24 hours. No doubt Emmitt was the man.

The ending is very interesting with the focus is all on Jimmy Johnson and the way he left the team. The fact he knew he was leaving the Cowboys before the super bowl was something I didn't know about until years later. Sure wish he would have staying a few more years.

I honestly believe had Jimmy stayed, the Cowboys would have won 4 straight Super Bowls.

The Cowboys swagger and confidence left when Jimmy left, along with his attention to details.

Yeah, especially after watching the 1995 America's team. Curse you Jerry/Jimmy rift. Switzer sucked.

Watch the 95 America's team. It's pretty sad, when they win the Superbowl, Darren Woodson said the feeling wasn't of Euphoria, but relief that the season was finally over.

Someone told Moose Johnston that was the best team he ever saw. When DJ asked why, the response was because you guys accomplished all of this in spite of the coaches.

Oh, what could have been. Here's hoping to the rise of the Cowboys once again, starting this year!
