You fail to see the point, it was not bad play calling the players did not take care of their job. This ideal that if you run my play we would have scored is BS and had the pass failed or was picked you would be in here hollering why did we not run the ball. From the 1 yard line you expect your guys to do their job if they fail it is on them not the coaches. Sorry but I hate this arm chair coaching after the fact.

I see you hate it but you don't budge one inch.. kinda reminds me of a certain head coach.

My point was simply that variation works just as well as the ram it down your throat mentality. I love the ram it down your throat mentality just as much as the next person but why not throw a team off every once in awhile to keep them honest? like what we did against TB... Did you even watch the video? If you're still being stubborn please at least watch the two TDs to Barber.

I'm not armchair quarterbacking. M'm making an obersvation. It's what we all do on message boards you know. It's the old "catch-22" argument. Let's just keep it short. Watch the video. Just for the record, I totally understand your point.

No your blaming the coaches for the players failure, Dallas has used variation you said it yourself the Tampa Bay game my point is there was nothign wrong with the play calling the problem was guys not doing their job which you don't seem to get. Your quick to blame coaches but give a free pass to the players who could not pick up 1 stinking yard in 3 tries. As I said had Dallas thrown it and if failed you would be boo hooing about why we did not run it. What is the deal about watching the video I saw the damn game and I saw the OL fail and that is the bottom line they do their job and it is a TD they failed and we did not make it end of story!

It's never quite the end. You must have forgotten who you were talking to. ;)

Who's fault was it that we didn't get in from the 1 in three successive attempts?

The players, the coaches are not the ones blocking or running the ball. The coaches did not wiff on a block a player did. From 1 yard out you expect your players to step up and get the needed push to pick up 1 yard.

This I totally agree with. Now that we've found common ground (Whew..that's difficult with you), what do you think we can do to ensure we don't in up in this exact same boat on a crucial goal line sequence against our future opponents?

I expect the players to do their job. Sorry 1 yard our guys know what the snap count is the defense doesn't. I expect the guys to get off the line quickly and get enough of a push to allow the RB to cross the goal line.

Well let's just hope the coaches are making sure there's no question of execution next time around. Sometimes a race horse just needs a good swift whip to get going.

Coaches coach, players play. When players fail to execute properly it really does not matter what play is called. Had Dallas tried to pass if the blockers don't take care of their business you have a sack, fumble, tip ball or int. It is not like Dallas has never thrown a int in that situation and when it happens people talk about getting to tricky. The nature of the beast is when things do not work everyone has this ideal that if we would have done this or that it would have worked. In my view the Coaches made the right call but the players failed to execute. I will say it was debateable about going for it on 4th but I think Bill was trying to show faith in his team

I still agree with you to a certain extent. You can stop waving the stick in the air now. :laugh1:

This thread is like Michael Myers on Halloween. No matter how many times you kill him you know he is never going to die!

This is why you keep paying your hard earned money going back again and again to see someone try to kill him. :D
