In time of possession (34:15) and sacks (20)! Way to go. If we can improve our turnover differential, we have a winning combination for sure.

We've got the skills that's for sure.

It is awesome being able to watch a Dallas QB throw the ball and actually expect it to be on target and not be intercepted. I haven't felt that way since 1-2 years before Aikman retired.

If we can hold onto the rock, we'll be dangerous.

First in sacks...

Man, that just makes me all warm and fuzzy.

I agree. I think for the most part the offense was able to move the ball fairly easy but putting the ball on the ground cost Dallas.

Yes, its true. The later model Troy did have me wondering when his replacement would come. The bad back, the concussions. I longed for the Troy of young, but knew his time had come.

Love ya Troy. Still ticked that Jerry wasted many of your healthy years.

That is unreal... with the problems we've had getting to the QB in recent years, that's just an amazing stat.

I don't know whether to credit the system change or the great draft or both, but it is a great feeling to be able to pressure the QB!

Well....call me a grump....but I'm still not sold on our pass rush....When we use a 4 man front....we still cannot generate any pressure IMHO.....our coverage has been great though.

Also some teams have played one less game then us so our ranking as 1st in sacks is misleading.

I don't know where you're coming from with this. Most of our sacks this year, and all of them yesterday came from linemen. We were putting the greatest pressure of them when we were using only a 4 man rush. That's when Ware & Ellis both got theirs.

Compared to the teams of the past 5 yrs., I can't believe you're putting a damper on this. It doesn't matter where or who the sacks come from, as long as they come. Most of the Steelers' sacks come from LBs & DBs, but nobody complains in Pittsburg. Brother! Why don't you go throw icewater on someone else's parade??

What's a good site for up to date NFL stats? nfl.com doesn't have team sacks.

We are tied for first in sacks with INDY and Atl. with Indy playing tonight against the pass happy Rams they will be in the lead tomorrow. What's more amazing than the fact we are even tied for the lead is the sack yards 158 indy has 136 both of us have 20 sacks.

The stat is not as misleading as you think. Indy is tied with us for the lead and plays St. Louis next. Pittsburgh is 2 behind and plays Cincinatti next. The Bengals have given up only 8 sacks in 6 games. I doubt that Pittsburgh gets more than 2 sacks against the Bengals. Every other team that has played one fewer game is 5 or more sacks behind. Looks like we are actually 2nd in sacks (if Indy gets a sack against the Lambs).

I'm also not sure how you came up with the opinion that we are not getting to the QB unless we blitz (unless you consider sending DeMarcus Ware). The defensive line has accounted for 10 of our sacks, and Ware has accounted for 4. Many of these sacks came without any blitzing secondary players or blitzing linebackers (excuding Ware).

Go defense - sacks, turnovers are indeed translating into W's

nfl.com has the stats for team sacks. Choose Defense under Sortable Team Rankings, then choose Passing under the Team Sortables dropdown box.

The 1st in sacks is not going to last long though. We are tied with the Colts and they play tonight.
