Assuming Dallas does indeed lock up a 1st round bye for the playoffs, does this make anybody nervous?

I'm feeling pretty indifferent about it. I think it's obviously more of a good thing but this team seems to love to play on a roll. IIRC didn't we look flat coming off our bye week this season?

Don't get me wrong, I want it and I'll take it,
I'm just wanting to hear opinions about it.

I just dont want to see any of our players on vacation during that week in the Caribbean.

When I think about the recent loss to the Giants and the Minnesota massacre in 2009, I really want us to play at home this year. It gives us the best chance to win it all, I think.

This team was flat in both games w long rest..make that all 3 games if you count week one as a 9 month rest

NYG @ home = loss

Vs Philly after bye = poor performance

@ min after 10 days = poor performance

This team hasn't been good w extra prep time and rest

But I will still take the bye and home field without thinking about it

This is an excellent point going forward.

Troy couldn't throw a wet ball, and Dak seems uncomfortable in cold weather. Not the right division to be in if that's the case.

Not really...DC and Philly really aren't that bad..could be much worse

You want to play as many as many home games in the playoffs as you can.

We already saw the difference in this team from at Minn/NYG to home with Tampa. Night and day. Take the home games. Who cares about the week off.

All I can say is I like our odds better having to play 2 games to make it to the SB as opposed to playing 3 games.

Offensively.

The defense played really well with the extra time off. Especially @Min and @NYG

as many other posters have already pointed out I think the HFA is critical for this team as I do not think they play well in cold weather

I think the comfort of knowing this team will be playing at ATT Stadium trumps the worry of coming out "rusty" after a 1 week bye, at least for me anyways

Where are they allowed to go with your permission........we should be clear upfront what is frowned upon and what is not - heaven forbid they take the wrong vacation!
