I like the pick. Either DT or Guard was a need. There was no offensive help there worth the pick. TE was not a need.

And a Mazi Smith type player is so much tougher to get especially late first than a big body guard.

What Parsons put on tape in college didn’t match with what he turned into starting with the Chargers game his rookie year.

exactly. cowboys fans on this board and everywhere else have been begging for a guy like this for ages, and complaining that the front office didn't value the position enough to spend this kind of draft capital on it... well, we got our wish. we can argue about who we didn't draft, but i hope the dude delivers.

I for one thank the good football gods that we didn't draft a TE. I like Ferguson and Hendershot and they, together, make a great TE. Our TE room is good.

I’d love to see a trade up for Avila just because I don’t think he makes it to 58

I would walk away a happy fan. That would be a great draft to get those 2 forces on the front lines.

Mazi is going to play. You don't draft him in the 1st round for him to sit on the bench. Hankins is probably not going to last the full season so it's good to have depth, talented depth at that.
