2-4 is very possible, which would end this season in a whimper

As bad as Dallas is playing, there should be no such thing as a "trap game". The Cowboys look the part of a 7-9 football team already on their own.

But folks in these parts want to chalk Sunday up as a win in the spirit of "if you can't beat the 49ers, you can't beat anybody." Like a gimme one-footer.

Let's slow our roll here. San Francisco is 0-6, but that doesn't tell the story of that team.

The 49ers' last five losses have been by 3, 2, 3, 3, and 2 points. The Cowboys three losses have been by more than twice that many points.

These 49ers are young with some good players and a new coach that just need to learn how to finish. They will eventually. Look at Atlanta since Kyle Shanahan left. That guy can coach.

It wouldn't be that shocking at all if Dallas is looking at 2-4 and the end of their season this Sunday.

No win is guaranteed, with this team especially. But Im not buying the 9ers being a decent team narrative. They are bad and about as weak of an opponent as we can face.

That's the truth of it. Along with the sad fact that these current Cowboys are capable of losing to anyone they play right now.

Nobody could or should see this as any guaranteed win whatsoever.

Until something major gets fixed on this defense, anybody and everybody is capable of moving the ball and scoring points.

They're 13 points from being 5-1.

I get it but those 13 points may as well be a million because they are still 0-6. You could play the same game and see we are only a few points away from being 4-1. But I agree there are no automatics for us.

This team, even last year has no business overlooking any opponent. I'm sorry with JG coaching I never have any confidence playing any team. I never know who is going to show up, or if we are ready, etc etc.

Garrett is dealing with ZekeGate, KneelGate, HamstringGate, and SuspensionGate, all while trying to also manage a football team.

This team looks for ways to tie its own hands behind it's back.

The point is, they're on the brink. This isn't a team getting run out of stadiums like the Browns.

They're biding their time until Kirk Cousins arrives, I think.

Maybe so but they clearly haven't learned how to win. I really cant disect thier talent level but I know Hoyer, Garcon and Kittles do not terrify me. Dallas often plays down to the competition anyways so I dont assume anything. But aside from the Browns Im not sure who would be a less daunting team to play???

Kyle can coach offense. But the Super Bowl proved to me he is not a head coach. He proved he could not "manage" a game...which is what a head coach is supposed to do. He will never live down the fact he GAVE away a Super Bowl. And honestly...what kind of head coach stands there and watches his playcaller GIVE away a Super Bowl?

It's a good thing Bill Belicheck didn't let deflategate distract his team last year going 3-1 without Tom on his way to the SB. ;)

Exactly, is it really that big of a deal? If we lose then obviously we just aren’t good. But it’s not like the season will be over bc we’re 2-4. Last year’s team would probably still make the playoffs with a 2-4 handicap. The season would be over bc we’re not very good. One step back this year cutting some veterans on defense. Hopefully 3 steps forward next year
