2-4 is very possible, which would end this season in a whimper

I think we lose...Garrett's history of losing to 1st-year coaches speaks for itself. 49ers will want revenge from last year.

Ironically, last year the 49ers were kicking Dallas' butt until........

Navarro Bowman got hurt. Then, the running game kicked in.

If they play focused, they will bludgeon the Niners.
If not-oh well. Maybe next year.

Teams are what their record says they are. Absolutely.

But there is a difference between a young team on the come versus an aging, dysfunctional team that is self-destructing.

Dallas should win. But these aren't the 0-6 Browns. The Niners will put up a fight.

Are you saying the 49ers are a young team that’s up and coming?

It is possible for a 2-3 football team to lose its next game? No way!

Also, for anyone calling for the end of the season before Halloween I wonder if you're just starting to follow NFL football.

They have a lot of good, young talent.

They're waiting for Kirk Cousins, who wants to reunite with Kyle Shanahan.

Welcome to the NFL. Where the games are close and teams like the Giants can beat teams like the Broncos at home on any given weekend.

This game will come down to 5-6 big plays, and to turnovers, like all the rest of them. We knew that already.

You and I may have already known that, but it appears there are some who are still learning.

I'm not worried about it, if we lose to SF we aren't going anywhere anyway and a win doesn't tell us much more than we're better than the second worst team in football.

We won't learn much about our team this week.

please explain to me how the Cowboys are an "aging" team?

It'll be a good game to have at this point in the season. If we can't beat these guys, something went horribly wrong this offseason.

As bad as Dallas is playing, there should be no such thing as a "trap game". The Cowboys look the part of a 7-9 football team already on their own.

But folks in these parts want to chalk Sunday up as a win in the spirit of "if you can't beat the 49ers, you can't beat anybody." Like a gimme one-footer.

Let's slow our roll here. San Francisco is 0-6, but that doesn't tell the story of that team.

The 49ers' last five losses have been by 3, 2, 3, 3, and 2 points. The Cowboys three losses have been by more than twice that many points.

These 49ers are young with some good players and a new coach that just need to learn how to finish. They will eventually. Look at Atlanta since Kyle Shanahan left. That guy can coach.

It wouldn't be that shocking at all if Dallas is looking at 2-4 and the end of their season this Sunday.

2-4 would not be the end of anything except what's left of some members' sanity.

I don't think he's saying the Cowboys are an aging team. He's saying the 49ers aren't a "typical" 0-6 aging dysfunctional team. Therefore we'll have to play well to beat them. And we should beat them.

I wouldn't jump off the cliff just yet but it's definitely a loseable game. They all are.

Good teams bounce back after a loss and bad teams spiral down.

If we play as well as we did last 2 games we'll win.

Realistically we need to be looking at a Wild Card.

The schedule gets tougher with Skins, Chiefs, Falcons and Eagles before Thanksgiving. 2-2 looks pretty good in that stretch.

5-5 headed to Turkey with Chargers I think most of us would take right now.

They almost beat the Deadskins yesterday.....its possible to lose to them.
Possible, could be even probable if for some reason Lee does not activate. SF is playing hard and has not given up (yet). We have earned the reputation of squandering our leads so they will test us to the end.
Nothing surprises me with this team (except a sound and definite win earned in all 3 phases of our game).

I get it but those 13 points may as well be a million because they are still 0-6. You could play the same game and see we are only a few points away from being 4-1. But I agree there are no automatics for us.

Bad teams find ways to lose, which the 49ers have 6 times this year. We've done it thrice....
