reggie bush :p

I think his receiving numbers will only get better and I expect him to gain 1000 on the ground this year
No way, doubt he could be used enough as a reciever to get him there, since he will be splitting carries

he had 88 catches last year, I think he catches 100 balls this year and rushes for 1000 yards. That should put him close if he plays the entire season like he played the second half of the season last year. He was terrible in the first half of the year.

I think he rushes for 1000 and has 1000 receiving easily this year

If brian westbrook could stay healthy for a whole season he would push it as well

what Allen did in the mid 80's is just unreal...
Yup, he as amazing during his prime. I think if Bo Jackson didn't get hurt, he might have gotten close to it (2,500 YFS) or would have topped it.

2,500 yards from scrimmage is a number never reached in NFL history. Below list is RBs who have topped 2,300 yards.

Code:
Player Team Yards Season [COLOR="Red"]Touches[/COLOR]
1. M. Faulk Rams 2,429 1999 [COLOR="Red"]340[/COLOR]
2. T. Barber Giants 2,390 2005 [COLOR="Red"] 411[/COLOR]
3. L. Tomlinson Chargers 2,370 2003 [COLOR="Red"]413[/COLOR]
4. B. Sanders Lions 2,358 1997 [COLOR="Red"] 368[/COLOR]
5. S. Jackson Rams 2,334 2006 [COLOR="Red"] 436[/COLOR]
6. L. Tomlinson Chargers 2,323 2006 [COLOR="Red"]404[/COLOR]
7. M. Allen Raiders 2,314 1985 [COLOR="Red"]447[/COLOR]
8. E. James Colts 2,303 2000 [COLOR="Red"]450[/COLOR]

That was a great list you posted, because it's not really as much on people's minds as it probably should be.

When you throw in number of touches, Faulk's 1999 becomes even more incredible. That season he averaged 5.5 yards per rush, and 12.0 yards per reception.

Yup, M. Faulk had an amazing season considering amount of touches he had. Thanks for adding another stat, it makes even more clearer of their performances.

Stephen Jackson.

LT is getting up in age. Though he's still great, I think the Chargers may limit his touches because as the years move on, more touches are going to wear on his body.

Jackson is still relatively young and has the receivers to be more of a threat in the passing game. He's already a threat in the running game.

One thing to keep in mind: how many of them got a ring during that year?
A really great year by one player often means other things are not going well. LT and SD each had a great year that ended badly.
