2 great qb backup possibilities in the draft

we might as well just go into the season w/ Matt Baker as the backup, at least he has a year in the system over the rookies, and is pretty talented

holy cow is this what it's like to agree with you??? : )

we've got baker for #3. a draft pick would be cannon fodder and may or may not outdo baker, but QB isn't a need w/romo stepping it up. well, in the draft anyway. we find the best backup #2 qb we can find, see what baker can do, and spend out draft picks as best we can on other areas of need.

Not sure about WAC champs. I think Boise State might have a little bit to say about that but it will be a new season and hope runs eternal in those situations.

As for Brennan, I am not interested in investing in any QB who has the kind of past he does. He may indeed have it all figured out but on the other hand, UH is like playing in a fish bowl. It's a very controlled setting in comparison to other situations. Once he gets into the Pros, that control goes away and then who knows what happens. He could go right back to where he was at Colorado. JMO.

I heard his interview the other day on espn radio...I must admit I have only seen him play once or twice, but in the interview he came off as a "me first" guy...I cant even remember how many times he said the "I" word...

but the bottom line is he is in a pass happy, gimmick June Jones system and plays against alot of bad teams...I wouldnt touch him anyway

we found a common ground

Here's my prediction. The Cowboys sign Tommy Maddox, no drafting QBs this year. But what do I know, I hoped last year the Boys would draft Yale QB Jeff Mroz from Yale in the 7th round. They didn't but he went undrafted and then they signed him anyway. I was all excited until he was later cut. Maybe they can bring him back, I'll probably lose creditability here, but I think that kid could have been a nice QB. Please don't fire at me if you never saw him play or if you ever uttered the words:

"I think Drew Henson is the QB of the future"
"I think Chad Hutchenson is the QB of the future"
..or if you trashed other undrafteds like Jake Delhomme, Kurt Warner, Priest Holmes, etc etc...

drew tate stats:

iowa :

games played 41
comp 665
att 1090
yards 8292
comp. % 61
td 61
int. 34

high school:

holds texas career records for the following:

completions 970
att 1576
passing yards 12,180
touchdown passes 113

the only thing that i see as a weakness for tate playing in the nfl is his height.

he's 6 foot tall

same as drew brees.

nevermind.
