2 Knee Jerk Reactions and 2 Truths

The stupidity on this board is amazing. The same ones thinking Zeke is done are the same ones who thought Pittsburgh didn't need AB anymore because they have Juju.

Not to mention, this overpaid o line gets no surge and always gets pushed into the backfield or committing penalties. Zeke looks bad, but it starts and ends with this o line.

I agree with you for the most part, but I cannot unequivocally say that neither of these statements aren't true:

"He’s no longer an elite RB. We overpaid."

He has exactly one run of over 20 yards for the entire season, and while the league's highest-paid running back, he ranks 8th in rushing yards. His 4.3 YPC average isn't near good enough either.

Bingo, I've said this several times now on this board. Zeke still has that RB eye and is excellent at getting you 5-10 yards. But he is really lacking that second burst and elusiveness that we saw in previous years. He's gotten blocking that guys like Kamara and Cook would have taken off for a huge game. Zeke gets ran down before he ever gets going.

While it's wear and tear or he's just not in shape, Zeke just isn't the same right now.

But will he? He has yet to do so since his rookie campaign and now the worst thing is he got paid while partying in Cabo. Cabo, the Cowboys killer.
 
Truly have no idea why Austin stays on the active roster over someone like Cedrick Wilson.

We get Austin in for what, maybe 8-10 snaps a week? He doesn't play coverage units. He doesn't take punts unless the opponent is pinned on their side of the field. He doesn't take kickoffs. And he usually only plays offense on gadget plays.
 
Zeke is going to run for 1,300-to-1,400 yards this season, with an o-line limping off the trainer’s table every week, a center who’s clearly not back to form returning from a career-threatening injury, Zack Martin has a bulging disc in his lower back & can’t anchor nearly like he could before, Connor Williams is still not remotely strong enough, and we’ve played the better part of two whole games this season with undrafted rookie FA Brandon Knight starting @ RT, and one with Cameron Fleming at Left, with a first-year signal-caller (30yrs old) whose understanding of the passing game is clearly light-years beyond his acumen on the ground.

If y’all can’t see how poor the interior of our o-line has played this season, particularly in run-blocking, then I’m not sure how you watch football.

Every defensive game-plan, every single week, is to stack against Zeke & make Dak beat you. It is one of the biggest contributing factors to Dak’s great season, as Kellen Moore himself said today.

Kellen Moore, for the first time after today’s game, admitted that HE needs to go back to the drawing-board & redesign how they approach the run-game completely.

Those of you who believe a freshly 24-year-old elite athlete has suddenly “lost it,” it’s *you* who actually have...
 
That's because they keep running him right up the middle over and over and over again like a bunch of retards..How about a damn toss or a sweep to the outside? Draw plays anyone? Or screens which are his bread and butter. Yeah he looks off this year but i don't think he's done..He is still young but time is ticking and Carrot is still on the clock wasting more and more talent..Jason Carrot is a cancer that slowly eats at you until you are washed up or dead..The Grim Carrot and career killer!!

teams stack the box against him. It worked last week for Minnesota so Detroit did it as well. The true test will be next Sunday.

dude all you have to do is watch him run, he no longer can out run anyone, he can grind out yards but the long runs are a distance memory

And teams can stack the box against the other running backs as well. None of them have the line, receivers, or quarterback play that the Cowboys do. I don't see it as an excuse. Too many teams can 'somehow' shut down Elliott and the Cowboys running game far too regularly.

Zeke is on a pace for 1,400 yards and has a 4.4 ypc
loads of teams would love to have that
he is 3rd all time for yards at his age
and this is a down year for him
dude is a serious threat for hall of fame
