I was very dissapointed in both losses but after I took the time to reflect on where we stand as a team I came to a few conclusions.

First I strongly believe that our defense is on its way to reaching its potential. The last two weeks we have been playing strongly on defense. We had good pressure on the broncos, which is considered by many to have one of the best o-lines in the league.

We were playing in Invesco (one of the toughest places to win on the road). Another thing the broncos do have a strong defense but we should/could have won this game if our offense played as it should have.

Jenkins is holding his own opposite of Newman.

Ive given up faith in carpenter. Wanted him to succeed and thought he would. Theres a theory that people become what is expected of them. If your parents expect you to do good in school and hold you to that regard most likley you will fufill these standards. Carpenter has been expected to fail and now he is.

Barber was clearly not healthy.

We need to give felix another week of rest before our bye and pray he stays healthy till the end of the season.

I like wade but prefer him as a DC. I wish we could keep wade as a DC and let JG walk. Upgrade Ray Sherman to OC but i dont think anyone would accept that demotion (Wade's)

At this point I dont have faith in Jasson Garrett and would cringe to see him as our HC. It seems he is very out of touch with his players abilities. For example, trying to make Romo a pocket passer, the lack of screens to felix, lack of jump balls for roy and marty b... etc. Once a defense figures out how to stop what is working for the cowboys it seems JG cant adjust to find something else that will work.

You know, I dont know Joe Decamillis' stregnths or credentials but with the turnaround he had on special team and his passion for the game I wouldnt mind seeing him climb the coaching ladder. He just seems to get the players to want to play for him.

Thats all for now... let me know what you think.

PS - I still believe we make it to the tournament.

Losing to Denver and NY does not make me feel any better when we were in the position to win and yet failed. The fact that we have played 4 games and have not looked sharp for 3 to 4 qrts in any of the games bothers me. I do think this team is capable of playing better football than we have.

Im so tired of hearing that we lost to undefeated teams, we were in position to beat these undefeated teams and we failed. This is NOT OK, we could be one of the undefeated teams if cupcake would get tougher, have us tackling in practice, SO WHAT if they cause injuries that is a part of the game and if you cant coach with injuries then you shouldnt be on the sideline period.

exactly we could be 4-0 and probably should be but theres still 75% of the season to be played. I dont think these losses make us a bad team. I can see us being 5-2 going into philadelphia. We are eventually gonna start winning these close games against good teams.

I might be in the minority but I honestly feel this team can beat any team in the league.

Looking again at the schedule there is still a chance to finish 12 & 4 with a loss to Philly and to New Orleans.

Who else is super scary? Rogers would have to win it on his own at Green Bay.

12 & 4 or 11 & 3 and the playoffs are in reach if this team figures itself out and doesn't get hurt in the wrong places anymore then they already are.

Here.... anyone want some of this.......

Denver is a mirage and they will be exposed shortly. The Cowboys handed them the game with two critical turnovers. The Giants are the real deal however.

If we don't start playing better than we have it will not happen. I still have high expectations for this team but I know there is no way they can continue to play the way they have been and expect to go any wheres.

I think it may be a combination. Yes Dallas made some mistakes but the Denver Defense played very well. They were able to put some good pressure on Romo and I thought did a overall good job on the defensive side of the ball.

Agreed.

Fortunately :)banghead: ) though they are beating themselves and if they can figure out how to stop doing that then it's off to the races.

A rough start could be a blessing in disguise.

Disagree, Romo throwing that pick (who evers fault it was) gave them all the momentum. If the Cowboys put it in the end zone there and go up ten, all the air comes out Denver. They know they dont have a QB that can bring them back when they are down much. The only decent win Denver had was, a lucky win over Cincy. Cincy showed they werent much when they almost lost to the horrible Browns.

That TD very well could have taken the wind out of Denver sails we will never know but overall I thought the Denver defense played very well. I'm not going spend much time singing the praises of Denver, while I don't think they are one of the best of the best and Dallas mistakes played a part in our loss I will give Denver credit for doing what I felt was a very good job defensively. Some of our mistakes were in part caused by good play on the other side of the line.

That is why I have said I don't think Dallas has played their best ball as of yet but I do believe they will get things going. I know the critics hate to hear that but that is how I see it.

I have never been one for moral victories, but when you stand back and look at the big picture, .. there is cause for hope.

True, we have many things to work on and improve on, (who doesn't) but we have lost two games, to two undefeated teams, .. literally on the last play of both games.

We need to stop beating ourselves.

Amen. See the results of Tom Coughlin's approach to coaching. Is this the kind of injury list we want to see?

Giants on IR. Out for season:

Jay Alford T
Ken Phillips S
Andre Brown RB
Stoney Woodson CB
Andrew Carnahan T

Missed all games so far:

Canty T

Missed 3 games so far:

Ware RB
Hixon WR
Sintim LB
Dockery CB

Out for next three weeks:

Boley LR
Kehl

I don't think so.

There is no solace in losing to undefeated teams at this point in the season...Of which, both were winnable.

That my friend is what we refer to commonly as spin

I hope the team is not content with losing ever.

But as a coach and as a team, you have to find the positives to build on. You have to exploit your strengths, and correct your weaknesses. You have to put it all behind you and find a reason to move forward and get ready for the next contest.

Never be content with a loss, but learn from them and strive to get better is all you can do.

As a team and as a coach you can't get down on yourself, you can't get discourged, you can't let up.

You have to find the positives to build on and get back into the fight.

Being 2-2 is not a good feeling, but knowing that you had 3-1 or 4-0 in your grasp is something to build on.

We'll see what happens moving forward, I hope the team and the coaches don't think like you do.

I don't think there is any question about that. A TD on that drive likely seals the deal for us.
