1) Is Mike McCarthy going to be the Head Coach next year?

Yes. No way he's fired now. That was a well coached and prepared team tonight. No turnovers and hardly any penalties. Even if the 49ers crush Dallas next week, Mike is going to be the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys Football Team in the 2023 season. Unless he retires of course.

2) Is Dak going anywhere anytime soon?

Absolutely not. I was under the belief, that if he played poorly tonight and the Cowboys lost, it would mean that the 2023 season was going to be his last as the QB for the Cowboys.

With his performance tonight, I would not be surprised at all if he and the front office work on an extension this offseason. Only Dak's 2nd playoff victory, but he's been great in the playoffs even if his record doesn't indicate that.

Dak is the commander of this team and that's not changing in the next couple of years for sure now.
The plan was all along, regardless of the game vs TB, to restructure Dak as his near $50M cap hit for 2023 was simply too much for Dallas to handle.

That's right. Now put a few of these games in a string, big games when it matters most.

That's how you stop this Cowboyszone Dak battle nonsense.
LOl do you really believe that? great game last night except Maher every aspect of the team played decent which is what need to happen. Playoff succesful teams are raely carried by 1 person.

While I agree with both points, you know this team has a way of doing this to us. One week they are impressive as heck, the following week they have a let down. Dak was fantastic last night. I don't think he could have played better. For me, he, and they, have to prove it over multiple games in a playoff scenario. Games like this prove they CAN do it.

Some people have set the bar so low....it's pathetic.

They just beat a 45 year old QB on his death bed...and think this is sufficient?

This team still has a long way to go....keep working.

It will never stop. It does not matter how well he plays, as soon as the team loses a game—even if it’s not til next season—folks will crawl out of the woodwork to put all the blame on him.

I thought the front office wouldn't touch or restructure his deal in the offseason and either trade him or release after next season (if the result of a one and done or less was achieved in 2023).
How ??
A NO trade clause and even with trade huge dead cap in bonus money,.. IMO daks contract and he himself wouldn't allow a trade.. secondly ,. why ? hes played this way many games since he came back off that hand, outside of the crazy INTs total which half IMO were not on him, he had this offense tops in scoring, red zone %, 3rd down % and many other category's. hes played like a top 5 qb many games coming out hot etc and being this qb we saw IF we have the OL playing even solid, a run game of any kind and Moore calling plays to beat the other team.

Daks not been our issue and truly never has been , so what hes not elite Overall hes easily top 10 qb with contract that falls around 8 right now in $$$$.. so what the problem? fans are the issues, expect perfection and judge his on all issues with the offense even thought truly its not been Dak..

you cannot function with an OL that cant open holes, cant pass protect, wrs who run bad routes, have little separation, and play calls that are head scratchers at times. our issues with the Team and Dak part of the team but as an individual payer we saw dak pays soem truly great football at times since week 6,, those are facts.

Hes not elite, hes not perfect, hes not pretty but hes is great and truly is a top 10 franchise qb..

Laughable !!!!
No “some people” as you so eloquently put it, aren’t settled and didn’t set the bar low — however, this years cowboys won the first road playoff game in 30 years -
Beat a qb in Tom Brady for the first time in ever -
Heck, bottom line is the cowboys should’ve won last night and they did !
The same team that many gave no chance to after losing its starting qb at start of season and reiterated after they pooped the bed against the commanders at the end
So, no one is satisfied , however , they did shake allot of monkeys off their back and need to celebrate that with full knowledge that the fight isn’t over yet - the story of the 22/23 cowboys is still being written- but maybe just maybe as fans we should enjoy the moments before fretting ?
Go cowboys !! Not done yet - keep fighting - tough game ahead

I’m not sure these questions ever crossed my mind. Mike has back to back 12 win seasons and Dak is top 10 in just about QB metric out there for active QBs.

Our biggest issue is and always will be Jerry.

The "not pretty" part caught my attention. Not just Dak.....but this team. Has to be one of the most awkward LOOKING...winning team I watched over the weekend.

Just keeping winning!

I agree...this team (and us) needs to celebrate this win. Not to gloat but to have some confidence.

Those 2 things were never in a doubt. Both MM and Dak had already proved their worth many times over. That was just media and hater hype.

Im completely spit-balling on feelings here...

But I have listened to Jerry Jones specifically say he would do anything to win another Super Bowl...numerous times on TV and Radio the past two years...

Lol...almost if he is advertising to Goodell and the leagues referees...

If those words are in fact true and I am in complete belief that they are...

Jerry will pay Kellen and Dan under the table to stay.

Dallas has such a great thing going on. Hopefully a coach or two leaving doesnt muck it up.

I've known that for a long time. They also will be good next year.

Why do you think he would pay DQ and Kellen under the table? There is no need for it.

Could a couple reasons...

1) Not to look like a fool for way overpaying a coach compared to league comps.

2) Not to disrupt coach asking prices when negotiating with Cowboys

You are right...he doesnt have to.
