20 Questions: 11 - which position is the most pressing need

Exactly what are your hopes, pray tell. Most of what you've done so far is issue complaints. If I knew what you want, I wouldn't bother to ask. Now I'm asking. I just stated that I suspect you want to win, also. If you only want to win on your terms, you're likely to be miserable.

Jerry will do what he wants, as you well know. I choose to hope for the best for this team despite all of Jerry's faults. Can't you hope for the best for this team, despite his faults? If your answer is no, you'll be hopeless. That's a living hell. I surely wouldn't want to be you.
Football is a physical game. Football games are won in the trenches. Fans can have and need hope, but at the end of the day, Jerry is not trying to win a SB.

I am a Cowboys fan and I want them to win, but I have no delusions on what Jerry is doing. I have come to the realization that this organization is a Cash Cow and entertainment only.

My hope is not that an 80+ year old man figures it out. My hope is some day we have a GM that is actually trying to win a SB.

I would rather try to win a SB and lose, then just try to be consistently relevant, while pretending that you want to win a SB. Jerry's FA and off season decision are obvious to anyone paying attention, that he is either grossly incompetent or he has no intentions of winning a SB.

Qb is fair whether you guys like it or not. Older, injury prone, $$$, it will only get worse with age not better.

The most important non-qb position that needs addressed is DT.

100%.

He ignores the blatantly obvious moves that need to be made to win a super bowl.

Again, I am not willing. I am stating the facts of what our GM is doing.

He believes it is a passing league and his views have not changed, based off of his actions during the draft or free agency.

He would rather trade for a back up QB, or a 4th WR, than a legit RB.
There have been several available the last few.

Absolutely no reason to go there.

Jerry has made many many good fans pessimistic, and w/ good reason. A fan actually has to ignore a lot for optimism.

The foundation of any championship team is to build within the trenches on both sides of the line. The Cowboys have ignored the DT position for way too long, that is the most pressing need IMO.

I would agree that Jerry isn't devoted in doing what it takes to be a Super Bowl participant. I think his reasoning is something he's totally unwilling to reveal for public exposure. Whether his true intentions are to qualify for being a participant or not is yet another question.

I think his and his son's knowledge of how to manage an NFL team simply isn't workable. There's no question that Jerry isn't qualified to be a GM. He proves that every year.

I believe his and Stephen's greed are the major roadblocks to that being likely to happen. Both his and Stephen's actions are those of two people in charge of managing a team with little to no valid ideas of how to go about doing so, imho. Nevertheless, I'm still a fan of the team, certainly not either of them.

Yes, history has shown QB's over 30 don't win SB's.

They believe they are winning every season with the highest profit margins. They have different priorities than our fan base.

Those key positions don't sell Jersey's. They don't make headlines.

As dumb as the Trance trade was, it created a lot of noise for the Cowboys. Jerry would probably do it over again if he could.

Let's see how Milton works, out or he basically just did it again, back to back.

Absolutely. Their greed is what keeps them from offering real management. We both agree on that. I feel your pain -- the frustration is hard to take for fans who want this team to win it all.

Gotta admit, at my age, I'll likely never get to see another Super Bowl in my lifetime. I hope you do. I make it a point to enjoy the competition and try to be satisfied with that.

It's mainly entertainment for me, these days. I've got chronic kidney disease, and my days are fairly numbered. Another handful of years isn't likely to see me enjoying another Super Bowl run. I do wish that for every other member here, though. You all deserve it.

It is just unfortunate. Their is no reason Jerry could not be aspiring to do both at the same time.

He seems to be more concerned about the over health of the NFL, than winning.

Once people come to realize the reality of the situation, or at least for me, I can tolerate my way through a season of entertainment vs a season of disappointment.
