Whoa, may get some good comments from this one. Some decent answers from the writers.

To me, as pointed out, you still need to make plays. As to why I always said, the "culture" is mostly fan and media myth. Just another way for both to put down the team.

@Coogiguy03 here is your chance to give us your continued thoughts and comments about "culture" :muttley:

Yes, it should translate to on the field, as from team camaraderie that Brian and the staff have put in place.
As they prepare to work together as a team, and not individuals. If you want to call it "culture", so be it. I call it teamwork.

Even Jerry is "all in" on this new approach.

Hard nosed football with attitude and swagger. When was the last time a Cowboys team imposed there will against a good team? I mean dictated, road graded and dominated a good team? I'll take a nap while you think.

I read the article, and to me the culture is about playing as a team, not a bunch of individuals
wanting individual glory. Also having a desire to just win.
We they have not played even a PS game lol, so it is all wait and see.
I like the new team and what shotty is trying to do.

A lot depends on the OC, DC, and play calling, game plans and game mgmt.
But that is something we just have to wait and see how they do.

I did make a wager on the cowboys winning more than 7 games, so if they win 8 I win a little $.
I think they will win around 10 at least. (Barring key injury's)

Culture will be lost about the 5 minute mark of the second qtr against the eagles when Barkley hits 100 yards. The team cant stop the run and will get their culture embarrassed week 1.

Why did they need a “new culture?”

What was wrong with the old one? Then honestly ask yourself if you think that any of it will be any different.

It's such a big crapfest in Dallas I don't see how how culture can factor into winning at all.
Painful as it is for me to agree I totally agree. We need to see how things actually play out. What good is all this talk and we're hit with some adversity and players are turning on each other. It sounds good that they're trying to build something, but stop talking about it and instill it in these players every practice, someone makes a mistake SIT THEM OUT let them learn not to mess up with silly mistakes that could cost us in the game for example!

Just play football please!!!

My question is "how tangible is this culture change?"

What culture? Without games there is no culture. The locker room environment matters but to this point we the fans don't see that. Coach has shuffled the seating arrangement, so he is pushing the culture thus far. Training Camp will be the start. Then we can start observing this "culture".

You don't change the vibe by talking about it. Talking about it, especially to the extent it is being talked about this summer, is foolish and detrimental to the cause.

You create the vibe through example and accountability. The coaches set the tone, the locker room leaders set the tone. The vibe builds through shared hard work, shared trials and tribulations and maybe going out and getting hammered together a time or two. Guys who aren't buying in are handled appropriately.

Making it the hot offseason topic for media and fans is senseless.

Right. We seen and heard it all throughout the off season.
Now we get to see it in TC.
However, we still will not really know until the real games start, and how they grow and improve from it.
Show us on the field.
I like the positive attitudes and signs so far ... but ...

That is or should be the fans motto. Not all in, or culture change, or we like our guys.

SHOW US ON THE FIELD

Absolutely.
Except. I would not say it is senseless. He is trying to accomplish something, and set a tone for his ways. More so than MM did.
Like I said in my above post.
Show us on the field.

It is all it comes down to.

I think the culture change will be positive because the players like the coaches and schemes. They will all get tested heavily this year, looks like an up hill battle but honestly that is the mentality we want them to have so they fight for every blade of grass on the field. While I doubt they make the playoffs this could be a crucial year in developing a much tougher on field culture going forward.

Trying to create that vibe isn't senseless. It's essential.

Making it a topic of general discussion is senseless, though. It only draws unnecessary attention which brings external pressures and scrutiny that don't serve the end goal.

The time to talk about the culture is when you're talking to a reporter as the confetti falls around you,
