Please point me in the direction of a video showing Romo playing in the 2004 preseason game vs Oakland. Of particular significance is Romo winning the game with an uncalled qb sneak.

Man, I remember telling people Romo would be nice after those early preseason games. The game vs Minnesota sealed it for me. Threw for like 350 on them. To answer your question, no I cant point you to the video.

This is as good as you're going to get absent of an NFL Films employee lurking the board

He was so unbelievably bad back then.

I can't believe he developed into what he is.

His mechanics have improved so much since then. He's a completely different thrower now.

Thank you!!

Thought it appropriate as we watch these preseason games. I remember watching back then just knowing he had something special going on.

I'm calling bs on that.

It's a miracle he didn't get cut.

As I recall, one of the main reasons Tony Romo went undrafted was because of a semi-sidearm delivery that would not work in the NFL because of his size.

The Dallas Cowboys didn't even want to mess with Romo's throwing motion as a rookie.

The undrafted rookie Romo and QB coach David Lee had the problem fixed before training camp started that year.

Another interesting note I heard on Talkin' Cowboys once camp started this year was the veteran LBs in 2003, Dexter Coakley and Dat Nguyen, hated practicing against Romo.

The veteran QBs, Quincy Carter and Chad Hutchinson, constantly stared down their receivers in practice.

The undrafted rookie Romo would stare at a receiver and then suddenly turn and throw in the opposite direction.

He was already looking off defenders and they hated it.

IIRC the 2nd preseason a lot people started to think he had something. By the 3rd preseason it was obvious to anyone paying attention how much he had progressed.

Quincy Carter being cut is the only reason Romo is here. Pretty scary when you think about it.
