Choosing the music is usually the hardest thing for me to do. Pantera is mostly speed metal and most of their music has cussing in it.. I don't put cussing on the videos so that my 7 year old son can watch them (and others as well).
I'm not opposed to using a clean Pantera track but I haven't really found a song of theirs that suits my taste for a video.
Rage has a lot of tempo changes in their music... that winds up affecting the feel of the video when you watch it. Slower music slows the video down.. faster music gives a faster feel obviously. On a defense video, for me, I like it to have a consistent upbeat feel to it.
At this point.. with the videos I've made thus far.. I'm running out of ideas for music.. so, I'm always open to suggestion. But, obviously, I do have a tendency to pick music I like and music that feels right for the video I'm making.
I REALLY have a hard to time finding hip-hop music that fits well in highlight videos.
Again, I'm always open to suggestion and, even if I don't use the music you may suggest, I DO listen to it and see if I think it will work.
(edit: I don't proclaim to be a video editting expert or anything... these are all just the thoughts I have on football highlight videos)
