See it however you want, that offense was spoiled by the "player".

Owens certainly didn't spoil us this past season. Owens in 7 games last year caught less than 40 yards. 7 times he caught less than 5 balls. If you single adjust, ie removing his best and worst game statistically, his averages drop to bad. If you double adjust, ie remove the two best and worst games, then he goes to absolutely putrid.

IOW, for the vast majority of last season he was simply horrible. He had two good games and for the rest of the season was one of the worst starting receivers in the game.

Is it that hard for you to comprehend that at age 35 a player, especially at a skill position, would have his skills deteriorate.

I was against keeping hium not for the obviously racial BS he was pulling but instead becasue there is no way in heck he is worth over $8 mill. He doesnt produce like he did even two years ago.

I'd like to see Fitz try to catch a pass 15 yards over his head, or sailing 20 yards OOBs, throwing 10 yards wide of him, 7 yards in front of him.

Warner has this ability to put the ball within catching distance, btw, until Fitz does it for several more years, I won't crown him either. And Moss has a great QB throwing him the ball, so I see your point.

How on earth can you say something like this when time after time we would see Owens drop passes that were right on the money. Thats been his achilles heel his entire career.

Fitz was great when he had Leinart and McCown throwing to him.

No but we do know who TO's feeling were against. It is clear he had issues with Romo, Witten, Garrett and Carpenter and was bringing him to the attention of his 'friends.'

And exactly what did Romo say that confirmed what TO specifically said. Just because Romo had concerns about Garrett does not mean they were the same concerns.

No, it isn't clear. Your speculating that TO had a problem with anyone but Garrett. Roy WIlliams also had a problem with Garrett... There is no evidence Romo had a problem with TO or Witten for that matter.

And they were the same concerns, in that Romo pretty much blamed scheming. Even a few months later when asked about his criticism against Garrett, he never denied them.

1. 2007 = The Player tore it up, made the coordinator and QB look good.
2. 2007/2008 = Romo made the OLine look good.
3. LATE 2007 = Teams started to figure Garrett's coloring playbook out and how effectively to take out their best WR. Because teams figured it out late in 2007, we started to decline down the stretch or have we miraculously forgotten then?
4.Because the recipe was in place to containing our game-changer, Garrett and or our QB could not figure out how to spread the ball around effectively.
5.With this same formula, teams finally went back to the same strategy from the late part of the previous season that worked, and thus brought our offense "down to earth". The only team that had the audacity to single up this player, he was totally abused.
6. Neither Romo nor Garrett has figured out since the last 3rd of 2007, how to survive when your best receiver is taken out of the game.

If you all think I am just picking on Romo and Garrett then think about this for a second. Their has been a ton a QBs who has had 1 great year until defenses figured them out, including coordinators.

I will use 1 for each example. Randall Cunningham when he had Moss and Carter, he was a star.

Buddy Ryan with the Bears, no one had seen that type of defensive set before, the next year teams figured it out.

I know you all are giddy over the QB and the Coordinator, but these guys were the cancers of last years team.

Until Garrett figures out how to be a coordinator, Romo figures out fundamentals, and the fans stop using chemistry, we will continue to fail year after year.

What abou that didn't you understand? We didn't have a dedication to running the ball last year. I would think it's pretty simple for everyone to see that the coaching staff preferred throwing the ball all over the field when the first 6 or 7 rushes didn't yield much. Why didn't Felix Jones touch the ball EVEN ONCE when we played Washington the first time? You tell me. Obviously the coaching staff didnt' call the plays or they were changed. No one can tell me our O line can't run block. The team and staff just has to make up their minds that they're going to run the ball. As I've stated on here numerous times, we weren't always successful running the ball in the first and second quarter in the early and mid 90's, but we didn't abandon the run. We stuck with it and it paid off in the second half. So far, this team and staff hasn't shown the patience to do this. I'm pretty sure that's going to change this coming season.

LOL!! Dude I totally agree with you. My sarcasm was directed elsewhere. I hope and pray that Garrett figures it out. Running more, short passes and screens, then an occasional deep ball.
