2009 wr prospects

Much stronger class than this year. Robiskie would have been the top guy this year.

Any Florida Gator fans out there?

When I watch your team play I think the guy who is a TE, Cornelius Ingram, might actually translate better to the NFL than any of the other receivers on Floridas squad.

I havent closely followed his game but ive seen him play a lot and you can tell he has a lot of athletic ability.

I think he is a very interesting prospect.

Dream on-I like Crabtree too but JJ is NOT going to draft a WR in the 1st.He may well use those extra picks and our 1st for RW.

I agree with that part of your post.

If we dont trade our #1 for a vet receiver next year I believe we will have a "meat and potatos" type draft.

Gator fan here. Ingram is a nightmare macthup for opposing defenses, the problem is Urban Meyer wants tebow or harvin to touch the ball on every other play. Ingram's potential will never be realized in meyer's offense. I remember Witten at TENN, he was a hidden gem because fulmer failed to utilize his skills. One CI get to the NFL he will be a beast, but not at WR.

So no shot at playing wide out?

You cant see him developing into that?

Hes 6'4 225 so if he adds to much weight then he is definetely going to have to play TE.

He stands out though for a guy who doesnt get shown a lot of love in that offense.

No I don't see him at wideout. He runs in the 4.6 range. You maybe be able to use his height in the red zone, but he will be best used macthed up on LB's and safety's.

Just as bad of a crop if not worse.

Not at all. No one in this draft had the potential that Crabtree does. Harvin is also a good deal better than Desean, to me. Robiskie is good as well, and better than almost all the WRs in this years class.

With the 32nd pick Dallas selects Myron Rolle - Florida St.

:)
Myron rolle is garbage. The guy hasn't made one play at F$U.. Reminds me of roy a little big reputation, but dosent translate to the field.

To just remind everyone how silly it is to assume Crabtree or any other player will be a top pick look at the same rankings at the start of the 07-08 season:

http://web.archive.org/web/20070823222738/http://BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1/draft2008WR.php

Jackson: Top 5 pick
Doucet and Manningham: Top 15 picks
Bowman and Urrutia: Top 25 picks

and so on...

Crabtree could easily run a slow 40 and slip from a sure fire top 5 to a second day pick. It's way too early to comment on the quality of the 09 class
