2011 Free Agent Safeties

The guy had 5 int's 2 tds, 2 FF's last year.

He can play.

He can play, that's never been a question but he's a head case which was never the issue at Syracuse. He was a general on the field and film room junkie. Calm, cool and collective. Everything he is not now as evident of his suspension.

If let go I sure would like to take a flyer on the guy and see if he can turn it around.

Misspelling a word is one thing, completely blowing the meaning of a word is another.

I suggest everyone join the thread....http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200324

and watch as newnationcb completely murders the word "hypocrite" and its meaning.

Let's see: PEEKS
PIQUES

So you misspelled the I, then the Q, then the U, then the E

LMAO

I'll let you make a fool of yourself. I'm out.

Speak of the devil, I just watched the Raiders/Miami highlights and saw Huff get beat by the Miami fullback for a touchdown catch and then see him take a bad angle (as the last line of defense mind you) and watch Ricky Williams score on a long run.

Just sayin'

Tanard Jackson, what the hell happened to that kid. He was probably one the smartest football players I have seen coming out of college at a non QB position in years and suddenly money and fame made him lazy and dumb.

I actually love Tanard Jackson. He reminds me of Nate Allen.

He's not a superstar, but he has very good numbers year in and year out.

I thought he had character issues at Syracuse too? What exactly did he do to get his suspension?

If he's a free agent I'd be more then willing to pick him up. Very good player.

Suspended for Substance Abuse.

I never heard of any red flags coming out of Syracuse but that does not mean he did not have his issues. Just probably nothing large enough to report.

He was one of my pet cats that year.

Tanard Jackson has twice been busted for the use of performance enhancers. He was suspended the first 4 games of 2009 and is now under an indefinate suspension. He isn't eligable for re-instatement untill Sept 12, 2011 I believe, so any team taking a flyer on him wouldn't get him for mini camps, OTAs or Training Camp.

I anticipate AOA making a real run at FS next year.

I have no problem with Sensabaugh at SS.

CB is automatically upgraded with Ball back in his #4 role, along with the hopeful development of McCann and Teddy Williams.

We have nothing being developed at ILB other than Lee. I'm hopeful we will improve the OL and ILB with at least one player each in FA...but who knows what will happen without a new CBA.

I still think round 1 of the draft will be about DL or DB.

Rounds 2-7 will learn towards OG...however, if Costa can play the position and allow Gurode to move to RG for Davis, that might be a nice move right there. Gurode is a good blocker, and he's mobile, sometimes pulling out effectively from the C position. We'll also draft another ILB, another CB, and probably a short yardage, power RB.

TOP SAFTETIES:
Eric Weddle, SD

Loved this guy coming out of college.

We don't need a playmaking safety. We need a safety that can be in position and not give up big plays.

"sup guys?"

It is too bad we let go of Ken Hamlin. For as "bad" as he supposedly is, our secondary has crumbled without him.... and to make matters worse, the Ravens scooped him up, and they just happen to know a thing or 2 about playing defense....

Re-sign Sensy and move Newman to FS after we draft Patrick Peterson and start him.

Seriously? Why not leave Newman in his Pro Bowl position, stick Peterson opposite him, and dare opposing QBs to beat Jenkins in the slot?

Scandrick retains his role as special teams ace and 4th CB, Ball takes a walk, and you resign Sensabaugh and START CHURCH!
