Boston specifically didn't allow people to congregate downtown on the night of game 7 for fear of a riot.
Vancouver was stupid thinking the Olympic experience would carry over to the club team and allowed people to congregate to watch the game. By the time it was clear Colin's son team would win, bottles were being thrown at the tv screens etc
We don't know what would have happened in Boston which has a history of rioting dating back to the 1770s would have done had there been crowds out watching the game last week.
