Starts with trading up to get Morris Claiborne, something that most thought we have been a homerun draft choice.

Even then I was a bit puzzled when they drafted Tyrone Crawford, who seemed like he didn't have the experience or the talent to be a 3rd round draft pick, but was considered raw with a lot of upside. Switch to the 4-3, and the inability for this front office to make a decision on where to play him has been mindboggling.

Kyle Wilber is threatening for a starting position, but I could just as easily seem him cut in a year. Another failed player position story from the 3-4 to 4-3 move. It seems like they had no plan for these players when they made this decision.

Matt Johnson, glass bust

Danny Coale.... still open... never materialized into a player

James Hanna.... a huge mystery as to why this guy could never be utilized to the best of his ability, or maybe we just made too much of his talents or lack there of.

Caleb McSurdy... no idea why they drafted this kid... was a terrible draft choice even in the 7th round. This guy was slower than Bradie James...

Not a single starter among them...

With the glass half-empty approach we can discredit all the other drafts too.

Such as, Dez is going to kill our cap with his 2nd contract...

It's starting to look weak, but 2009? Bit of anExaggeration. How many games were collectively started by that group? Probably less than Claiborne started in 2012 alone.

We'll see how Crawford pans out. Gotta remember he's coming off of a major injury. The rest looks like garbage, but 2009 was worst case scenario.

His draft is closer to 06 if we're really comparing so far

You can't forget that one reason that draft was so bad was giving up the 1 and 3 for Roy Williams. And as bad a move and as big a disappointment as that was, Roy did play and contribute far more than Claiborne or anyone else in that class so far.

Its really early to give up on this draft class. I for one really really like Crawford and think he is going to be a consistent starter for us and will show that this year. I never liked the trade up for Mo, but once again he is going to start a lot of games for us this year. Lets see what he does. Mcsurdy was a complete miss. I have the same questions in regards to Hanna....

09 are you serious. While the 12 draft has some injury concerns at least these guys show promise. Hanna, Wilber, Claiborne and Crawford have contributed to this team. Crawford and Claiborne will be starters and possibly Wilber as well. How many starters are you looking for in one draft pal.

Granted I get the injuries but to say this is 09 draft is absurd. That class had 0 starters or role players and most aren't even in the league now. Crawford would played huge backup role last season before getting hurt, Wilber has played better once moved to LB, Claiborne is solid even though some are down on him he has seemed to put it together some this season. Claiborne has been a starter and has made plays against real opponents, Hanna has played his role decent and is getting better.

Let's wait and see what they do this season as it will be their 3rd year before saying they stuck. Tired of fans over reacting to everything

The college free agents saved this draft... you've got to count Leary, Dunbar and Beasley plus Hanna, Claiborne, Wilber and Crawford contributing in some fashion in 2009 making the 2009 college rookie crop at least average

Roy's only accomplishment with the Cowboys is Miles Austin.

I wouldn't include Williams in the 2009 lot because we're talking about how well the team drafted... Or at least that's how I perceived it.

Obviously, Williams was a proven nfl veteran, so his impact was much easier to foresee before acquisition. Sadly, even that was botched as he wasn't a big presence especially for his price tag.
