Ok the other thread got deleted I'm guessing for all the arguing, but MWP is suspended for 7 games let's just leave it at that. Lakers clinched the Pacific Division tonight with the Clippers loss. Lakers will most likely rest their starters Thursday night in Sacremento because it's a meaningless game. MWP is out for the entire first round for sure unless it goes the distance. In this case a long 6 or 7 game series would actually benefit the Lakers. They absolutely need MWP to beat OKC in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Another thing Matt Barnes sprained his ankle in Sunday's game. The Lakers aren't a deep team to begin with. With MWP's suspension and Barnes injury they're really depleted. They may have to start the Ebanks kid. He has shown some promise in his limited minutes. He did a great job on the best scorer on the planet in Kevin Durant on Sunday.

i just thought about it, and im almost certain that kobe and the main lakers will play a little bit on thursday. The lakers are sure to get a sunday game, so if they dont play, they will go a full week without playing! i think thats a bad idea, they should play 12-15 minutes and sit the second half

Lakers need to sign Steve Nash in the offseason and get that man a well deserved ring.

I hope not. I can't stand Steve Nash. I could see him going there, but I would hate to see him purple and gold.

He's one of the ten greatest point guards ever and is playing as well as he ever has. I'm also curious as to why you can't stand him. Is it because he's a Sun because he's not or never has been a ******bag or anything.

Because Nash will be expensive and will hit the downside, before he hits the upside.

I don't think his game is that much better to justify spending the money. Not to mention having met him a few years ago he is a ******bag actually.

thats surprising, he seems like he would be a nice guy. i remember meeting bruce bowen though, when i worked at HEB in San Antonio. he was kind of rude, he came by my checkout line about 3 of 4 times while i worked there, and EVERY time he was on his phone, but he didnt really seem to be talking to anyone. ONE time i had TIMMAY! he was super cool! it was after the season, like july i think, he was super friendly (they had just won the 05 title) he had a cart full of gatorade and he was like "i had to steal your stock, this is a great deal!" lol, they were on sale

He won't be expensive. None of the title contenders have any cap space of he really wants to win a title he'll have to accept an MLE contract which he will. People always Nash will start to decline and he's 38 years old and still going strong.

Nope. Mike Brown said Kobe Bryant will not play against Sacramento tonight.

Kevin Durant is your scoring champion.

Not sure if its Kobe's decision to rest his shin, or if it's Mike Brown.

If I'm Kobe Bryant, I walk into Kupchak's office yesterday and ask him to fire Brown.

I'm sure Kobe is fine with it, he said he didn't care.

It's about being healthy and making a title run, not winning a scoring title.
