Hopefully this situation is resolved and he doesn't miss any games.
Head coach Mike Brown on Jordan Hill's availability for tonight: "He's playing."

Zordon;4576729 said:Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol would like to play for the Chicago Bulls, Bulls.com’s Sam Smith reports. Smith cites “Lakers insiders” that tell him Gasol wants out of Los Angeles and would like to land in Chicago.

ABQCOWBOY;4576752 said:I have thought for some time that Chicago was the best trade destination for Gasol. Rose wants Gasol in Chicago and apparently Gasol wants to be in Chicago. Trades are not always about the best fit. A lot of times, especially with bigger contracts, it's about who you can make a trade with. I guess we'll see where this goes.
Cowboys&LakersFan;4576760 said:Yeah, but what's the point of Gasol going there if Rose isn't gonna play till 2013-2014? If we can't get Deron in a 3 way involving Gasol (Nets have already said they don't want Gasol) then we should try trading with Houston again.
Cowboys&LakersFan;4576738 said:Pau is an idiot if he wants to go to Chicago. Rose is probably out for the entire 2012-2013 season so they'll just be another 1st round exit that's if they even make the playoffs at all. Indiana or Philly would be a better destination for him.

MC KAos;4577073 said:its the leastern conference, the bulls will EASILY make the playoffs with pau as their best player. id say they will be at least in contention for a top 4 playoff spot. if they get, say, the fourth seed, play a team like the knicks or hawks of this year, they could easily win that series. the doctors said Rose will be out a minumum of 8 months and a max of 12 months, so even if its the worst case scenario, he will be back for a second round matchup. I think he will be back around march, though. That is, if they do trade for pau or another good player and stay in the playoff hunt, if not, they will just shut him down for the year and suck for a good pick.
Cowboys&LakersFan;4577087 said:Pau can't be your best player. He showed that in Memphis. Even if Rose comes back he's not gonna be anywhere near the player he was prior to the injury. I really don't see how Pau makes them better considering they'll no doubt have to give up Deng and probably someone else as well. They struggled mightily without Derrick Rose in the postseason. It wouldn't be any different next season. This is not the Pau Gasol that the Lakers traded for in 2008 and won multiple titles with. He's declined dramatically.
MC KAos;4577114 said:those 8 seed memphis teams would have been a 4 or 5 seed in the east. not that im completely disagreeing with you, but i have heard that a big reason Pau struggled this year is because he is playing out of position in the new offense, he is basically a low post player trying to play a high post because bynum is down there already. i think a change of scenery will be good for him. Rose prob wont be nearly as good as he was before, you are right about that. i would say though, seeing AP work out after his torn ACL just 5 months after it happened is quite impressive. D Rose is just a great an athlete and with the way those surgeries have advanced in just 2 years according to ESPN medical experts, its not out of the realm of possibility that he could come back just as strong in march, get in game shape by the playoffs and then who knows.
Cowboys&LakersFan;4577128 said:I've heard that too and the new offense is partly to blame, but so is Pau. In the triangle offense last year with Phil Jackson he played AWFUL in the postseason. Dirk made him his ***** and the Lakers got swept because of that. He had a terrific start to the 2010-2011 season, but completely fell off after that quick start. I love Pau and what he's done for us, but I honestly can't wait to get rid of him. He clearly doesn't wanna be a Laker anymore and since that's the case I don't want him here. Say what you want about Andrew Bynum you can say he's immature or a ******bag, but he never demanded a trade. This is a guy who has been in trade rumors basically since he entered the league and never demanded a trade. He understands the NBA is a business.
MC KAos;4577134 said:thats why i cant take the claims by experts that it was the offense entirely serious, he struggled last year in the playoffs too, and as you said, that was still in the triangle.
