Spurs are the better team. Turned the ball over 13 times in the first half and still won the game essentially by 10+ points. (OKC knocking down desperation uncontested 3s skews the final score).

I don't see how OKC wins more than one or two games.

Green was a no show. Bonner was a no show. Parker struggled. Duncan hardly touched the ball. Jackson refuses to shoot when he is open. They gave the ball away like they were handing out meals to the homeless at Thanksgiving. Yet, when it mattered, they buckled down, played superb defense, and began to execute on offense. They won the game.

The Spurs were rusty and it showed. Now they have a game under them, and will be able to make adjustments on the things they did wrong.....mainly careless turnovers. I look for the Spurs to win game 2 by at least 10, and go back to OKC up 2-0.

If they can weather the storm early in both road games, I see them being able to take both away from OKC.

Call me a blind homer, but I honestly feel the Spurs can and will sweep the Thunder. This is not a slight to OKC, they are a very good team this year, but the Spurs are a great team this year.

Chalmers better play the defense of his life if he wants to have any chance against Rondo.

Just stand back and let him shoot. Don't defend him in his hip pocket where he can use his quickness against you.

Spurs will beat the Thunder in 6. Heat will beat the Celtics in 5.

Spurs will beat the Heat.

Ginobli sure did a lot of traveling for playing a home game.

Yeah, and Durant only took two steps on that fast break lay-in where he got the ball between half court and the three point line and didn't dribble once, right?

Actually, he took FIVE steps. Five. 5.

A lot easier said than done. There's a reason he's continually torched Miami and is one of the best guards in the game.

Anyways I doubt the Spurs sweep OKC. I gotta think that monster trio of Durant, Westbrook, and Harden can at least win a game. Problem is their half court execution is awful. All they do is jack up jumpers. There's an old saying that you don't live by jumpers you die by them. They were able to beat Dallas because they're a jump shooting team and beat the Lakers because they went away from their bigs. Unlike those two teams the Spurs know how to execute down the stretch. No one other than Gino really played that well and the Spurs still won the game.

I know this is the playoff thread, but I will digress a bit. What is up with Lowry in Houston? If I am the Rockets, I do whatever I can to trade him by the draft. He has talent, but he is a selfish player. I could be wrong, but hasn't he also had some off court issues?

Now back to the playoffs......I think the Celtics have a better chance than people think. They gave the Heat fits this season. Still, the Heat are playing rather well right now, while the Celtics can't seem to score with any regularity.

the celtics HAVE to win one of the first 2 games to have a chance in the series IMO.

He wants out of Houston. If I'm the Lakers I forgot about Deron and I offer Gasol for him, Scola, and Martin.

Gasol and who else? Otherwise you are raping them. How about Gasol and the 1st you got from the Mavs?

So I am listening to ESPN radio and Linda Cohn and some guy are on today and they are talking about the Spurs/Thunder. They admit to not really watching the Spurs or giving them much attention this year. Then they go on to pick the Thunder and throw praises galore. They talk about how the Thunder made mistakes in game 1 and should have won the game, yet neglected to discuss how poorly the Spurs played as well. All I could think was typical BSPN.....focus only on the shortcomings of teams like OKC, Miami, or LAL.....and neglect that the opponent played just as poorly.....BSPN, the frontrunner network.

BTW, I wonder what they are going to do when the Spurs sweep.....OUCH to the mothership.

C'mon now they aren't gonna sweep OKC. OKC is too talented to get swept. This will be a long series, but the Spurs superior depth and coaching will be the difference.

The pick LAL got from Mavs was top 20 protected. Mavs draft 17th this year. LAL didnt get the pick. In fact I dont think LAL has a pick til 60th.
