Okay, but the head coaches must kick the field goals...

Better yet a fan at the game random drawing has to kick for their team. Maybe people will respect the game more than they do. :laugh2:

Okay...5 attempts, team with most successful field goals win. Head coach and 4 random fans get a shot at making 30 yard field goal. How do you guarantee fan for team and not visiting team?

I just want to see the fat lazy coach try to kick the field goal. Maybe some of them would not be so cocky.

I find the college rules exciting myself. I hate ties and if the NCAA of all people can come up with a system that does not allow ties the NFL should be able to.

Nope, no crappy college OT rules for the NFL. No ersatz scrimmaging, please. If you want to assure a win, do it in the first four quarters.

I like ties, they mess up the stats something fierce.

I think redzone is the toughest part of the field and fact that after 2 attempts if they need to continue the they must to for the 2 points. I find the college OT exciting and fair for both teams

Any team with a decent kicker can kick a fg from there. It's too easy. Yes I know they can't always go for the FG but I still think it's too easy. Kickoff and make them drive the length of the field or put it on the other 20. At least that would be a challenge.

I don't like ties I think it stupid to pay that kind of money for a ticket and walk out with a tie? Give me a break. College managed to deal with it the pro sure as hell should be able to do it given the money they rake in

Can you imagine the pressure? I mean if it is a game that decides going to the playoffs. You would be run out of town if you missed...

On the other hand, instant recognition and rewards with the successful FG...and your name going down in the Cowboys history books.

Given the how difficult the redzone is I think that is just as much a challenge. In the end I just want to see tie game’s end, ridicules that a pro football game can end with a tie.

People may think twice before complaining. :laugh2:

no body has a problem with crack back blocks now being completely illegal? You know the refs will use that twice a quarter on us just for bumping a guy

I agree on the tie. I just prefer sudden death.

And that is fine as long as the game continues until 1 team scores. Only reason I would suggest the college OT rules is the time constraints with the networks. Like it or not the networks will always have some input given the money they pay out to show the games.

Yeah, I'm thinking someone might pass out before the attempt. But no matter what happens this would be the most exciting part of the game. Everyone in the country would be watching...and talk about it for years.

Just as long as the score can be any score not just a td and the game ends.

Can you clarify the illegally kicking a loose ball penalty? It seems like its against the offense and I have seen defensive players kick the ball away from offensive players trying to recover a fumble.

I'm fine with the tie for now as it rarely happens...
