Nobody said Barca were playing at the top of their game. People said that no matter who you are winning your domestic league at a canter and reaching the latter stages of the Champions League is not a poor season.
As for your post about Belgium, France are clearly a team with much more quality than anyone in Belgiums group. Assuming both teams play close to a full strength team and the game is taken seriously you honestly don't think a Belgium win would be a better indicator of them living up to the hype/fulfilling their potential than beating Scotland in a competitive game?
I do apologise for wasting your time, I'll try to make sure to gauge my opinions on the number of google hits a story has and the opinion of someone who seems to have made up his own nickname for his favourite team.

examples of time wasting.
Saying a team that performed WELL BELOW THEIR OWN EXPECTATIONS for half a season couldn't possibly bounce back.
EVEN THO THEIR OWN FAN BASE USES THE SAME FRIGGIN TERM THOUSANDS OF TIMES this off-season.
I never said Barca sucked or were terrible. I said bounce back.... bounce back to what? Oh I don't know how about their own glorious form of the 1st half of last season?

Saying I made up a nickname that about half of England's CFC fan base seems to use. As well as probably half the population of Chelsea, England.
In fact if you google My Chels guess what? it pulls up Chelsea FC links. Imagine that.
L2Google dog, it's not that complicated.

Or perhaps stop talking about things you are clueless about.
Am I here debating Celtic with you? Of course not. You are one of their 100 fans.

Talking up a FRIENDLY a few days before the European seasons between a desperate and recently poor France (1-4 in the last 5 games and the last impressive results were 9 and 10 months ago--tying Spain and beating Italy) and a completely in form Belgium as "telling".
Arguing France (currently ranked BELOW the US) is better than Croatia.

Just stop for cripes sake.

I am hardly some Soccer savant but you are arguing completely obvious things that 30 seconds research details.

People are going to disagree. No problem there.
But at least attempt a 30 second fact check before spewing out nonsense to me.

ehh not really.
Using friendlies to gauge much is always risky.
With clubs seasons starting this weekend not sure who all plays many minutes.
Qualifiers always give you more info.

France has lost basically everything it's played for half a year.
Belgium is a prohibitive favorite.

That is true but in real games, France is 1-1, it lost 2-1 to Germany then in Uruguay and Brazil in meaningless exhibition games

Following are my favorites to win for each league

Chelsea - favorite team. Hope we get Rooney but doubt it. Combination of MFs Schurrle, Moses, Mata, Oscar, Hazard should be super fun to watch. Lets face it most competitive league in the world.

Napoli - a pleather of new faces at every sector of field even without Cavani

Barca - I don't like them but they win. RM is more fun to watch

PSG - way too much talent, although Moura Lucas disappointed last season. Monaco doesn't have enough to over throw

Bayern Munich - great team, enough said

Champions - Chelsea or Bayern

The fact that you seem to think of one of the most supported clubs on the planet as a backwater irrelevance with no interest outside of Scotland and are using FIFA rankings says a lot. I know Chelsea fans, have been to London and seen countless references to them. I have never heard anyone anywhere refer to them as the or my chels. How many times does that website refer to them as such? Seems to me its just the name of the website.
Don't really see much point debating any of this further with you as clearly I am out of my depth.

games about to start! Uruguay played well at Japan, hopefully they can get it together for the qualifiers, it would be a shame not to have them in the world cup next year

Embarrassing result for Celtic. Beaten 2-0 in Kazakhstan leaving us a hell of a lot to do next week in Glasgow. The only positive was that team look eminently beatable if we play to our capability.

You have to think some of those shots will go in during the next game. Celtic missed a lot of good opportunities. They should be able to continue to get those same chances in the 2nd leg at home.
