Until they break the cycle of .500 ball, it would be difficult for me to think this team has turned a corner.
Show me, Garrett.
Agree.
The only improvement so far on this team is by elimination of some "bad" players and coaches. No guarantees that their replacements will be any better. Changing 3-4 to 4-3 is not guaranteeing anymore turnovers or sacks. Romo is richer but that does not improve his position. A dismal Oline last year has the addition of one unproven rookie. Evidently people think that since injuries were so abundant last year, we're due to get off totally healthy this year which is rediculous. Sorry to say but there are no injury Gods and anything can happen to anyone at anytime. Injuries could even be worse this year with our aging D line, pourous Oline, etc. Our starting safeties are unproven or unhealthy or both.
The positive side is that we have new blood (coaches/players) ridding some of the pretenders and our team looks better on paper than last year. We are healed up for the most part and JG has another season under his belt which hopefully translates to improved game management. We also have SB coaching experience on the defensive side which is better than what we had in the past. We have apparent improved depth at RB and some potential safety help. The schedule couldn't line up any better and Dez has seemed to have matured (knock on wood).
JG, Show me that your offense knows the plays and alignments not to put us in 2nd and 13 or 1st and 15 situations on offense. Show me a good run/pass mixture to put the opposing D on their heels instead of feasting on Romo. Show me some sacks and turnovers on defense. Show me a game plan that utilizes our "talent" and is flexible enough to adjust when we're taking it in the shorts.
Make me a believer again. :abuseme:
Happy weekend everyone!!
