I wish Church was a more physically gifted player. He does everything right, great for the team, does the absolute best he can with what he has, etc. If he had some more range he'd be pro bowl every year.

Wow no Dez? It seems like when he goes this team goes and they play with a chip on their shoulder like he does. A bit shocked by that.

It can be hard if you have to pick between both heads or tails. There is only one right choice.
Ha! Not quite that simple.

Generally, if there is a question about a play or whatever, that's when the captain can go to the ref to discuss the issue vs random player B.

Leaders at their position

QB - Tony Romo, leader of the offense
RB - You can maybe say Joe Randle, but that's very questionable
WR - Dez Bryant
TE - Jason Witten
OL - Doug Free (when Free leaves/retires this will probably be Frederick)

This offense belongs to Romo and Witten, not Dez.

I would argue Free would be a captain before Bryant.

On defense

DL - Arguably it is Hardy, but it's hard to really make him a captain at this point.
LB - Obviously Sean Lee. Also the leader of the defense.
Secondary - Church. Probably was Scandrick before the injury.

I'd say in year two, Hardy probably becomes a captain over Scandrick/Church.

Special Teams - Easily Bailey

How many players need to talk? Lets trim it down and anything else the coaches speak up

Well, they don't all talk at one time. They're just on-field team representatives. If the defense is out there, it helps to have a captain out there if some ish needs to be discussed and/or relayed to the coaches quickly before the next play jumps off.

For the record, I'm not trying to make like having a captainship is oh so important, but that's why they're used in the sports I ref.
