A guy from the ps now goes number #12?! Lol beyond ridiculous
Agreed a team would be crazy to draft Irving at 12th. Maybe if he has a breakout year I will feel different, but this either speaks to the lack of dline talent or the heavy over valuing of a good rotation player... If we made thatpick based on what he is currently producing we would question if he is a bust....

Funny how Dallas is a team full of rookies and 2nd yr 3rd yr guys. And when the majority of them were playing because the vets were injured, the defense was playing its best. ATL never sniffed that. They have players who are looking for stats. Dallas has a team playing team def. I dont give a damn about double digit sacks. Ill take Dallas 5th in league in pts allowed to ATL 27th. I think you might want to stick to fantasy football with stats.
Wish Dallas defense played team ball against GB in the playoffs when they scored 3 TDs in the first 3 drives.

Nobody is saying Atlanta has a great world beater defense but they have some guys that will turn that defense around. I think any cowboys fan would love to have a double digit sack guy like Beasley or a corner like Collins or a safety like Neal and Ishmael or a LB like Deion Jones......well any cowboy fan but you I guess

Atlantas def was trash.

25th overall
27th scoring
18th sacks
20th int

They won with offense in the playoffs too, not defense. Atlanta had 1 good half on defense and that was in the superbowl, and we found out how fake that defense was.

I hope Dallas stays away from anything the Falcons are doing on defense.
This is just ignorant.

Atlanta's defense might not look good statistically but they have a lot of young talent on all three levels.

Vic Beasley, Grady Jarrett, Deion Jones, DeVondre Campbell, Desmond Trufant, Jalen Collins, Keanu Neal

I like Irving and everything...but what the heck has he done to think he would go 12?? There have been a few flashes in a few games, but no way he'd go 12 in a hypothetical redraft. Hopefully he gets more opportunities this year and proves me wrong, but as of right now 12 seems crazy to me. Maybe late 1st....

I feel like if we're talking about the 2015 draft, it's obligatory for me to say I hate Randy Gregory.

DLaw, Crawford, Carroll, Moore, Paea, Heath, maybe Zach Wood, sprinkle with 3 or 4 good draft picks and we are cooking with fire!

Did you purposely list all of the worst players on our D? How the hell do you try to talk up our D and not list Jones, Brown, Lee, Irving and Jaylon? The players you listed are all dime a dozen roster filler.

Yeah, I like what Irving has done. But I would rather have Markus Golden at this point (12.5 sks last season) and he somehow didn't make this redraft.
that is because Dallas is a household name and these writers don't know ****

Atlantas defense didn't have one good half of play. If our d played gb like Atlanta did in the first half we host Atlanta in the conf title game

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-doover-david-johnson-goes-before-todd-gurley

Saw this on nfl.com and thought I would share. 3 current cowboys go in the first round. Irving goes at 12 and La el collins at 14 even though both went undrafted originally. Our scouting department deserves a lot of credit
It's so nice to have faith in our scouting department again, after the last few years, we really have done fantastic. I'm excited to see what we do in this draft.

And allowed only 166 yrds for the other 41mins of the game. and if it werent for a ref blowing a holding call dallas wins.

What good is the numbers if ur defense cant stop anybody?

I listed the young players and FA's brought in.

I didn't list the players you question because they were already listed in the quote.

Landon Collins would go 5th in this redraft. Personally, I think he should be 3-4th.
Man...wish we picked him

A game isn't 41 minutes.

Look I'm one of the biggest supporters and defenders of our defense last year. But Atlanta had some good rookies and young guys on that defense and to say otherwise is silly and untrue. Now you can keep trying to tell yourself whatever it is you want.

By the way it was a holding call but I'm not so sure how you can say Dallas would have won because game was tied it would have be overtime and while I have faith in our team nothing is a give me and we could never touched the ball in OT
