Assuming we're picking around pick 10 of each round. Trade down 10 spots and pick up a 2nd and 4th.

20- Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA - Could be our QB of the future. Maybe not. But we have to start looking.
42- Devonte Fields, DE, TCU - Local kid. Good pass rush ability and room on his frame to bulk up.
52- Benardrick McKinney, OLB, Mississippi State - Super athlete. Runs in the 4.5s. A bit raw, but massive upside.
74- Doran Grant, CB, Ohio State - Plays smart, and has all the physical tools. Needs work on his ball skills.
106- Malcolm Brown, RB, Texas - Runs good. Constantly picking up positive yardage. Looks the part of an NFL RB.
116- Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia - Needs to bulk up, but the motor, passion, skill, and intelligence are there.
138- Anthony Chickillo, DE, Miami - Big man that plays absolutely relentlessly. Tremendous motor.
170- Brandon Ivory, DT, Alabama - Big block eater. Can hold ground against double teams.
202- Jamon Brown, OT, Louisville - Mammoth. 6'5", 350lbs. Elite wingspan. Decent lateral agility. Might be better suited to guard in the NFL, but a very intriguing road grader.

Tear it up.

I hate Brett Hundley but it's hard to argue with the rest I guess.

I have a hard time believing Fields would still end up in the 2nd round. Getting kicked out of school and playing in community college has to drop your stock to the 4th round at best. Crazier things have happened but he'd have to put up some freakish combine #'s to go in the 2nd imo

He's a great athlete and has shown the ability to really get after the QB. He won't fall father than the 3rd.

I don't hate him. Hate is a strong word. At this point, he trusts his feet too much. When he begins to feel pressure, he stops looking downfield and turns on his wheels. He needs to show more patience and keep his eyes looking for a target to throw to. His problems are fixable. He has a nasty cannon for an arm, and shows that Romoesque Houdini ability to escape pressure. He can run the darn ball too.

He has all the tools, just needs some development. I was tempted to take 2 QBs in this mock and let them battle it out ala RG3/Cousins.

No to a UCLA QB. The comparisons to Aikman would never stop, and the kid would be doomed from the get go.

I want Mariotta, but something tells me Jerry will screw up and take Winston.

You say that casually, but to me, I see that and think "abandon ship" lol

That's instinctual, and it hasn't improved from last year to this year, so to think it will in the NFL seems like a stretch to me.

Pass on Devonte Fields, I went to school with him. He is not the kind of guy you want on your football team.

We're so far removed from the Aikman era that I don't really think that would be a problem.

I like Mariota better too, though.

way to early for a mock but any mock with a QB in the 1st would be a mistake, Romo is the QB here for atleast two more years due to his contract. Like it or not. We need to rebuild this defense, so picking a QB that early would be a mistake.
Way to early to do a full mock. Most those guys will go several round earlier to not even drafted.

Mariota will be a top 3 pick, possibly #1, depending on who's picking. We won't have the ammo to get him, as I see us finishing around .500 or just below yet again this season. Rams or Titans would be my guess.

I'd take Cook over Hundley.

Why are people talking QB. Romo is here for years to come. Go look at his contract. He is a 27 million cap hit next year. If they restructure it to save mo et and create cap space the. It makes it impossible to cut him until 2016 maybe even 2017. He is still owed to much money. The best thing we can do is keep building the defense and OL. Then take play changing options away from romo. Just run the play that's called. Drafting a top qb next year will not help this team until 2017.

There's no problem looking for the next QB in the upcoming draft.
I see no issue with having a promising QB sit behind Romo, especially with his health potentially in question.
And we need a QB to play if Romo gets hurt again, and TBH I rather see a guy for the future out there than Weeden.

Aaron Rodgers sat behind Favre for 3 years. Worked out well for the Packers.

The packers were set to win when they made that pick. They didn't have any obvious picks. Also they picked him at 24 not top 10. Also go back and look at that draft, not many great players to chose from at pick 24.

Also you pick 1 time it happened.

It wouldn't matter who is the qb if the defense doesn't get better players. I can understand if it's a luck type player. Or in the 3rd or 4th round I'm fine with but picking a qb in the 1st or 2nd over defensive players that can start right now would be a mistake in my eyes. You might as well as cut romo because your not helping him or the team win now.
