2016 Cowboys were 6th highest scoring in team history

Just some offseason trivia here.

I didnt realize that last year's team was the 6th highest scoring team in franchise history!
Not bad!

Here are the top 6 scoring Dallas teams

1. 2014
2. 2007
3. 2013
4. 1995
5. 2006
6. 2016

All made the top 100 in the NFL all-time


Now, just get that defense up to par

Because three of the top 6 offensive performances happened on his watch, one with a rookie QB, during a period where the same fans that complain regularly about Jason Garrett have been complaining about the play calling and the design of the offense in general?

The problem since 2012 has been the defense in Dallas. And the defense's problem has been insufficient talent. You have to be blind to think the problem is with the coaching.

We still need to be more around 30 PPG with our defense. Now if the pass pressure improves and the takeaways increase we can make a fair amount of noise. Otherwise we'll struggle against good teams esp in the playoffs.

Went back and checked the list and it appears they only go back to 1990...which is silly.

Turns out this list is 1990-2016

Post #11 is more accurate. Also shows a couple of great 1980s and 1960s offenses
2016 still made top 10 out 56 years
