@DFWJC and @Pandora -

Do you know if those lists are showing ONLY offensive points scored, or TOTAL points scored by the team?

Just curious. I recall in 2014 we had at least a small handful of non-offensive TD's, but I don't think we had a single one last season (which really makes last year's offense pretty impressive).

I really hope we can get back to creating takeaways+TD's like we did in 2014.

Because three of the top 6 offensive performances happened on his watch, one with a rookie QB, during a period where the same fans that complain regularly about Jason Garrett have been complaining about the play calling and the design of the offense in general?

The problem since 2012 has been the defense in Dallas. And the defense's problem has been insufficient talent. You have to be blind to think the problem is with the coaching.

Lol. Jason Garrett had ZERO to do with those offenses. It was all because of the players. Him and his staff didn't put those guys in a position to win. That was evident come playoff time. Their offense is "go beat your guy and if you can't, we have no idea how to adjust".

You are the one blind if you don't think coaching is an issue. Garrett is not a good coach. He might be good at giving rah rah speeches behind the scenes and the players might like him, but actually coaching? Nope. Bottom of the league. The only 2 times he even made the playoffs was needing a top QB/RB duo with one of the most efficient offenses in the NFL. His true colors were shown when Romo went down in 2015. Him and his staff had no clue what to do. If it wasn't for Romo, Garrett's record would probably be at the level of Gus Bradley of Jacksonville before they fired him.

This team would benefit so much from a competent coaching staff. Starting with a replacement of head coach.

I'll say it again, JC, Romo was outstanding. And more than capable of winning us a Lombardi.

Such a damn shame. Look at those offenses. And yet it was his fault...
No doubt. One year was 32nd ranked...lol. And one of the 3 worst on paper in NFL history.
Hard to win with that.

Looking forward to having a defense thats for real.

Things are looking up:flagwave:

Just some offseason trivia here.

I didnt realize that last year's team was the 6th highest scoring team in franchise history!
Not bad!

Here are the top 6 scoring Dallas teams

  1. 2014
  2. 2007
  3. 2013
  4. 1995
  5. 2006
  6. 2016
All made the top 100 in the NFL all-time
:flagwave:

Now, just get that defense up to par

Only one SB championship season on that list. Interesting.
