yeah me too, my guess is based partly on hope for something different!
I dont want to start with any NFC East team, as they are all meh and it would be a rather meh 1st game.
Dallas vs Pitt would be classic matchup against a good team. and it would be colorful.
more so than later in the year when one or both teams might be not so good.

That is the thing about having dallas play a team like GB late in the year as opposed to early, last year it was a boring game,
dallas was awful and a loser, and GB was not as good as they normally are.
Had they played game one it would have been much more exciting, and a rematch from the playoff "catch" game.
much better than the giants game we had.

Also we have had giants 3 times in a row, except for SF in 14, which is boring, and things seem to go in 3's, so if you go back past 3 years,
we open with the jets, and then wash and I think SD.
So if not a nfce team it should be a afc team.

I just have a feeling with it being 9-11, the 15th anniversary, etc... That the NFL won't hesitate to have us play them on SNF Week 1.

I'll take the win, but I just want to start with another team. ;)

The NFL released the schedule one day prior to announcing Hardy's suspension. The last time we played back to back division rival games in week 1 & 2 goes back to 2002. I'm not a conspiracy guy, but it's strange how the Commanders (who just got done flipping the finger to the league about changing their name), who sucked in 2014, we're given the 2nd worst break in the schedule for 2015, us 3rd worst. Just things to think about: http://www.footballperspective.com/...mpa-bay-extra-rest-and-the-2015-nfl-schedule/

Well the league is all the owners, and who do they have making up the schedules, and would they really let it work against some teams?

Some say the NFL doesnt like the cowboys, but The NFL is the owners lol.
However anything is possible, but I would think jerry would complain or find a way to not allow it, if that is the case.

Jerry didn't let out so much as a whimper with that violation of the un-capped year, even though it wasn't just us and the indigenous peoples of Washington that violated it. So, no, I don't see him caring enough about the schedule.

And to say that all 32 team owners congregate in a smokey room for days and dibby up the schedule is pure poppycock (heh). They can have input/complaints/offer feedback, sure, but there is a league office that employs a ton of people, some of whom (biased/unbiased) only exist to create/manage the scheduling. If it was up to owners like Jerry to decide the schedule (JWB in-hand), we'd have 16 home games...all against the division rival$. I understand it's hard to make everyone happy and fair, but when the inevitable "someone had to get the short end of the stick" scenario comes out, it's slightly dubious which teams get it. /tinfoilactivated

I'm still wondering if we will be the first 4-12 team to play the maximum allowed national TV games...

They used to limit the max at 6 games, I think. But with the flex scheduling on SNF, I think we got 7 a few times.
This includes the T-Day game I think, but not sure if it includes the Sunday afternoon games, I think it does, but not certain.

I would bet we get 6 as usual

Sunday afternoon doesn't count.

I will say that we kinda get jobbed sometimes but most team do as well. Garrett isn't that great of a HC because he seems to get outsmarted by good coaches but he does have the team ready to play road games. That being said I'm not afraid of going to Pittsburgh or GB after thanksgiving.

I wouldn't say anyone is afraid of late season cold weather away games, but it's clearly a disadvantage for southern and dome teams. It's not a question of toughness or manliness like some seem to portray it. The fact is, that football played in extreme cold or other extreme weather is a slightly different sport than football played in warm perfect conditions. Anyone who lives up here and played fall sports knows how different the skills required for a Sept game is from a Dec game.

And the argument that both teams have to deal with the weather is bs. While both teams do play in the same conditions, the team more familiar with the sport as it must be played in those conditions absolutely has an advantage.

All I hope is that we don't open with NY again. Tired of that. Although we have their number.

That's a blockbuster smash hit as far as ratings go for ABC. I think we own seven out of the top 10, top rated Sunday night games ever. SNF is going to take every game they possibly can involving us.
