2016 NFC playoff predictions: East should be hotly contested

Commanders running game will be crap, there offense line is average, there safteys suck and there middle linebackers are average

I really like Matt Jones and think he could surprise.

But, again, we can play that game with any team in the division. Our pass rush sucks, 2/3rds of our linebackers suck, our #2 WR sucks, our SS sucks, most of our corners suck...

Barry church is decent, scandrick is solid, the Commanders defense line isn't all that great either. Almost gave up 5 ypc last year on the ground. But yea I agree with you on our defense ends and outside of Sean Lee and hitchens, our linebackers suck. Hitchens is decent, Durant if he plays like he did in 2014 we should be great there

I think Church could have been a good player 15 years ago. But with as much as teams are passing, I feel like he's a bad player more often than he's a good player. I'd say he sucks as a starter. I'd even call Scandrick good before he got hurt, so I agree with you there, if he can stay healthy. But Carr and Claiborne suck as starters.

But I think my point is valid; in a normal division, we all have holes that would typically keep a team from winning a division.

David Carr: Cowboys. I want to pick the Giants, but their offensive line makes me nervous. If Romo plays more than five games, the Cowboys win this division.

If anyone knows about an offensive line making you nervous, it's Carr.

I can see it be closely contested but don't see a contender in this division.

Commanders are making some good strides but we are ahead of em
I don't see more then road bumps with the Eagles and Giants. [new coaches for one]

I don't get the Tony Romo/Fort Worth motel reference. Did I miss something, or is Ms Wolfe just an idiot?

His new house has a basketball court in it. Thats an inside basketball court with a tv that looks to be 100 inches hanging on the wall in there along with a slide from the second level to the first for his kids.

don't think he needs a fort worth motel.

I really don't know how anyone can objectively look at these teams and pick the Eagles to win the division.

They are going to be atrocious.

No QB. No WR. Questionable O line. Questionable HC.

Even if their defense ends up being "decent", so what? As if it will be enough to carry an offense that literally has no identity and no truly dynamic threats at the skill positions.

They will be in the basement this year, which will make it that much sweeter next year when they won't even have a 1st round draft pick to show for their troubles, AND they'll be hosting the draft lol.

to be fair this is basically the same offense that bradford excelled in with pat shurmur with the rams. So he should be pretty confident.

The way I would look at the division is this. The Romo injury opened it back up I think. The Cowboys offense with Romo should have been the best top to bottom unit in the division. There isn't really a hole there, unless you want to count TE2 after the Hanna problems.

After that I'm sorta certain that every other unit in the division has issues. The Eagles offense should be a train wreck I think, Questionable OLine, WR, QB, RB. The Eagles defense will go as far as their front four carries them. The Skins offense was very short most of last year when Cousins was good, the running game is spotty and the WR corps are fairly injury prone it seems. Their defense is good but nothing great. The Giants Offense is an average QB, one very good WR, some other promise at WR, a terrible OLine, and questions at RB. Their defense has a lot of money but I do question the top to bottom talent, their DLine has promise but is far from proven, LB seem to be pretty trashy, CB are big named but not sure about talent, and their Safetys aren't good. Our defense has poor DE, good DT, Lee and guys at LB, solid but unspectacular CBs, and possibly the best safeties in the division.
