Dak is looking like runaway best QB of that class

Not counting Driskel (starting due to injury), that class has 4 starting QB's. Goff, Wentz, Brissett and Prescott.

What could be crazy, is that right now Brissett may be #2. Goff has fall pretty far statistically this year. Wentz's drop hasnt been as steep, but its still pretty significant. Brissett has been a major surprise for Indy and playing like he could become a legit franchise QB

I likely posted a bit about liking Dak back then.

But that was as a great backup. Was excited by the pick ... and felt we got a bargain because he had a dui and African American QBs literally can't do nothing wrong without dropping several rounds. But never expected this

Goff O line is trash. His problem is he cant read a defense. Was there a bigger mismatch than when the headset turned off at the 15 second mark in the SB and it was Goff vs Belick?

If the eagles had any options Wentz should be benched........he's not good.

His effectiveness plummeted after his knee injury which you notice now he doesn’t run much.
A running QB is maddening for defenses and as long as the running QB isn’t turning the ball over...can really make them look more effective as a QB than what their arm skills would say....
See Dak, Lamar Jax, Wilson, Vick...
When Wentz was a threat to run, passing lanes opened up more and plays got extended.
Now he seems to just stand back there mostly behind a meh OL and try to find terrible WRs...
He’s not terrible, but he dropped from a top ten guy his best year to just a guy in the middle pack now...

The fans who are trashing Wentz when he has injuries on the OL and no WRs are fueling the Dak hate.
The fans who hated on Dak when we had trash at LT and no decent WRs were a stupid pain in the butt, along with hamstringing him with Linehan’s conservative play-calling.

it wasn’t fair to Dak, and it’s not fair to Wentz. QBs need playmakers. Dak has proven he’s our franchise QB, but even with his experience, put him back on the field with no Tyron Smith, with No Cooper, Gallup, or Cobb (back with guys like Hurns, Beasley, and TWill as his main weapons) and the inexperienced TE group from last year, and he would still struggle today.

Give Wentz our receivers and RB, and you’d see a very good QB, I feel sure.
You're point is weak at best. Madden football fantasy what if s! Foles won a SB with less talent than this years Eagirls team.
Yawning!

Goff has most of the tools to be an elite QB but he is missing the most important tool...........the one upstairs. I’ll take Dak from that class and I wouldn’t have said that last season.

I always thought Dak would get to this level. Last year most of the issues were because of his pass protection, which makes every QB look bad.

I never doubted Daks desire to win, work ethic or intangibles. My concern was the footwork and mechanics. He has worked on that and it shows

That's false. Dak leads the league in deep throws and is at the top with 20 plus yard TDs. Not sure what games you have been watching but it's clear you haven't been watching Dak this season with a comment like that.

Is that exclusive to balls traveling 20 plus yards in the air?

Disagree. Where was his deep throws vs the Patriots when he had one of the worst SB's for a starting QB?

I mean, you can point out bad games that any QB has had. You could even say that Goff put Cooks in a position to catch two TDs that were dropped. It’s okay for someone to think that one player is better in one aspect of the game than another. Doesn’t mean you think the other one is bad.

Guarantee if that was Dak's performance in a SB loss, we'd still be hearing about it all over the mass media that Dak is a fraud. Stephen A. would be bringing it up every day on his show.

Dak was the best of the those QBs in college so I’m not surprised. People are seriously sleeping on the fact that he had Mississippi State ranked #1 overall for a stretch. That is a big deal when you have to go through Alabama and LSU to do so.

Dak can ball and he’s used to carrying teams on his back at the highest level.

No offense to the other guys but what did they do in college, besides look the part? Wentz didn’t even play at the highest level and his team won without him in the games that truly mattered. Goff’s teams didn’t win but he sure threw a pretty ball in a “pro-style” offense.

Dak took a doormat team in the toughest conference in the country to the highest of heights. Places they hadn’t been before or since. We were fortunate to get him.
This! So much this!

I said this when we drafted him...i have been saying this about Wentz since he was drafted...

At this point it does appear that way. Still a lot to go this year.

Okay. I'm not saying Goff is a better QB, I'm just saying that he has a better arm than Dak. Dak has played better under pressure, has better mobility and playmaking ability.

Exactly. it's easy to harp and diss on Wentz when he doesn't have the Cooper, Gallup or Cobb on his team vs the pedestrian group
he has to work with in Jeffries, Nelson when he had Desean Jackson, Carson looked like he was going to take his game to another level.
But Jax suffered a serious groin injury, reaggravated worse, done for the year, and he has no impact WR to turn to.
so they have to resort much more heavier on their two TEs and RBs.

Surprisingly the Eagles are usually very aggressive and shrewd in bringing in talent in an emergency to upgrade a certain area; but that hasn't
happened with their WR group, instead of them trading for Sanu (who was traded to NE) or signing up a Josh Gordon (who signed with Seattle)
..the Eagles got vet scrub Jordan Matthews - like that's gonna scare anyone.

We can put the better arm stuff to rest. Although I liked Goff as a prospect, his arm isn't near Dak's.

Remember before the season started philly was voted as the best complete team. Was voted number 1 DL, number 1 OL, number 1 TE depth, number 1 receiving corps, top RB depth and number 1 QB in the NFC east and mostly said a top 5 QB........ not only that but folks kept saying that Wentz could do things that Dak couldn't like carry the team without help. Now he looks like crap, again, 3 out of 4 seasons and the excuses flow in.

Perhaps 2017 was just a lucky year for him and his real play is more like his 3 of 4 years.
Right!!!! I even argued against it. Where is this talent at? Now people are using that as a crutch for Wentz.

That’s crap. Cooper prior to coming to Dallas was one of the worst receivers in the league. Gallup was a 3rd round pick. Cobb....I was told he was finished. So yeah I don’t want to hear this excuse that Wentz doesn’t have anything because Goerdert and Ertz are two great tight ends. Can you imagine if Dak had them two?
